I can't take off for my misjudgment as for the suitability of these tools. I assumed from the other reviews, that they would work for removing the back tire of a 42" riding lawn mower. They were totally inappropriate for that task. They might have worked for removing the front tiers, but they are more suited for motorcycle tires. I am a big do-it-yourselfer. I needed to change the tires on my compact John Deere tractor. I am an auto mechanic by training, so I know what I'm doing. These spoons helped me a ton in replacing the tires. I would not recommend these for automotive tires, as they are too shorts for that. It took me over an hour of prying with various other tools to get my 16x6.50-8 tire off the rim to replace the inner tube. It only took me 15 minutes to get the tire back on without damage to the new inner tube with these tools. They work great for this size tire.
