These are super cute little dolls, and Amazon has the price set reasonably! The “crystal” portions are beautifully clear and sharp (not sharp as to cut, just sharp as to be really well molded.). And each one actually has a different pattern! Lots of pretty hair, and while some is only slightly toasty, it’s all nicely styled. Amethyst in particular has incredibly soft hair!!! When activated, they shine so beautifully! I do think the presentation of the stand could have benefited from mixing in maybe some shimmer or silver glitter, but it’s not a deal breaker. These dolls can stand on their own, after all. It’s important to note to take a look at the little booklet. Watch booklet is different and has fun information about the specific doll from the same package. Also has a bit of trouble shooting. For example, when I pulled the tab off of Amethyst she didn’t immediately activate. When I read the instructions I discovered the little button underneath. That reset her and she worked perfectly!

My 5yo daughter picked this out. She has loved it and played with it a lot. She likes that the doll lights up. She likes the necklace too but uses it for completely separate things and never plays with it with the doll. It clasps and unclasps pretty easily so she could do it on her own and she has used it for all sorts of things. A tow rope for toy cars. A leash for her stuffed animals. A seatbelt for her stuffed animals. Etc. We couldn’t figure out how to turn it off once you turn it on so the necklace ran out of battery pretty quick. The doll still lights up though and we’ve had it for a couple months now! The stand got lost almost immediately and she never really played with it. I should mention that we only got one doll so we didn’t get to experience the way the dolls are supposed to communicate and share light with each other or something like that. Like I said before though, my daughter likes this toy a lot (even if we didn’t understand how the necklace and doll connect). It’s a cute doll and she plays with it a lot. I love the price point. It would make a cute and cheap birthday present for your child to bring to a party.
