Worked out just fine for me. I had just bought an old car to go back and forth to work with and the 18 year old speakers were done. The bass response was better than expected but the highs aren’t that good. Fair but still it worked well for what I needed. Update; after having them in my car for a month or so I just don’t like them. If it wasn’t for the factory tweeters I would’ve probably left a bad review.. when I tried to balance out the sound I listened to the back speakers only.. man did that sound bad.. I ordered a set of JBL GTO 6.5 component speakers for the front (should be here today) and I’m going to add a set of tweeters to the rear just to fill it out. As far as these speakers go, if you was to replace blown out stock speakers and you just don’t care they are still a bargain at $10 a speaker. If you think you want to do a little more than that buy something else. I’m still leaving the 5 star rating because they do get the job done. And I didn’t expect much SQ for the money in the first place. ... show more

Great speakers for the price. They sound great compared to the original 1991 speakers I replaced. If you want high end sound buy high end speakers. If you want some good inexpensive speakers these are it. I also upgraded the head unit to a car play touch screen and they sound really good together.
