Great controller. Its very comfortable in your hands. I recommend highly!

DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE! IT HAS MAJOR DESIGN FLAWS THAT MAKE IT UNUSABLE!!!
Color: Smoke Black Edition
This thing is garbage. This is no Nitro Deck 1. They got it perfect with that thing, which is why I thoight they had it figured out with the Nitro Deck 2. It's unusable. It constantly drifts and loses functionality on the entire left side of the controller. You have to stop playing, fidget with it, and maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. It's latency is terrible on wireless mode. Bluetooth mode seems meh. Wired mode with their little dangle thingy is atrocious. Constant disconnects from the slightest touch or tweak to the device at all. Put it down? Disconnect. Pick it up? Disconnect. Also, wired mode does nothing to stop the left side of the controller from totally going out on you randomly or causing stick drift til you turn it off. It also runs out of charge so fast. You spend more time wrestling with the piece of garbage to work than you actually spend playing any games on it. DO NOT BUY THIS TRASH! SERIOUS LET DOWN! I'm appalled CRKD actually launched this product. It's terrible. Returning after giving it a chance for 72 hours. ... show more

A Big Improvement Over the Original, but Not Without Its Flaws
Color: Smoke Black Edition
Compared to the first-generation Nitro Deck, the Nitro Deck 2 has changed quite a bit, from the button layout to the overall design. This time, it has a more Steam Deck-like shape, which I actually prefer. As someone with larger hands, I find it much more comfortable to hold. The face buttons still use rubber membranes, so there’s nothing particularly impressive about them. They feel pretty average, nothing special. In terms of features, this is probably the most complete Nitro Deck yet. It has pretty much everything you could ask for, and almost all the buttons can be customized through the companion app, which is really convenient. I won’t go too deep into the features since there’s already plenty of information about them. Now, onto a few things I think are worth mentioning. One of the biggest changes is the way the console attaches to the controller. Instead of the slide-in design from the original Nitro Deck, the new version uses a clamping mechanism. Personally, I think this is a step backward. I understand that the Switch 2’s design may have influenced this decision, but installing and removing the console just isn’t as quick or convenient as it used to be. Then there’s the price. At $99, I honestly think it’s a little overpriced for what you’re getting. At around $79, I’d feel much better about the value. My recommendation would be to wait for a sale. Lastly, one thing unrelated to the controller itself, but still worth mentioning, is the preorder experience. I placed my preorder quite early, but even after other retailers had already started shipping their orders, Amazon still couldn’t provide an estimated shipping date. It just kept showing as pending, well behind other retailers. There was also no clear explanation or update from the manufacturer. I don’t know which side was responsible for the delay, but the whole experience was pretty disappointing. Overall, the Nitro Deck 2 is a solid upgrade in terms of ergonomics and features, but the average face buttons, less convenient mounting mechanism, and relatively high price keep it from being an easy recommendation at full price. ... show more

Find something else - Not worth the cost
Color: PAL Grey
Cool concept, mediocre final product. I was originally irked that my preorder was delayed weeks past initial launch, and I could have just waited until launch to order, and it would've arrived at the same time. Connectivity was difficult to set up, and often took ~30 seconds upon startup of switch2. Meaning I would turn the switch on, then turn the grip on, and then wait until it finally connected. I couldn't get the grip to wake the switch either, which others half the price do seamlessly and also connect much quicker. That might just be user error though. My main qualm lies in the fact that barely a few weeks into using the grip the dial on the back to lock the switch in place broke. It will no longer tighten/lock on the switch which renders this to a bulky controller at best. I only use a switch2, so the whole backwards compatible thing is nice in concept but difficult to execute in practice. By trying to cater to both switch versions, you lose out on more tailored functions. Save your money, find something else for less. ... show more

Not bad, just not my cup of tea, it turned out...
Color: Smoke Black Edition
There's a plethora of third party aftermarket cases and accessories for today's game consoles. This is a clever example, suitable for either the Switch or the Switch 2. The sides extend out on telescoping rails to accommodate these two systems of different size. The thing is, there was a supply issue that introduced a delay between my order and its fulfillment. During that stretch, I tried it the offerings for the Switch 2 from JSAUX, a brand I got to know for their innovative accessories designed for the Steam Deck. So I was pretty well accessoried-up by the time this grip finally arrived. I tried it out, but, well, it just didn't ring my bell not enough to displace the JSAUX gear. But, it might be just the thing you're looking for. It seemed sturdy and well-made. I could see someone really liking it. ... show more
