Got this because most of the reviews were just nothing but positive and I’ve seen someone say it worked for their cosplay wig. I 100% can say it definitely works well for wigs (be sure it’s heat safe) and I have even used it for my own hair and it works very fast!! I do wish they had different plates or a crimper that is 7-8 tooth for smaller textures!! This one only has 5 so it’s bigger. A 7-8 tooth crimper would be god send for cosplay wigs or if you want the pattern to be even smaller. I just got this one because it seemed to be more affordable and had good reviews. I do like that it includes a glove. The heat levels are fine, I use the two lowest ones and they do auto shut off after a bit which is fine. It helps in case you forget about it or leave it away for too long. I bought this for my cosplay wig but I wouldn’t mind using it on my real hair for some texture or volume

I bought this specifically to use for Halloween, and my Viking themed costume. I had great plans...but ran into timing issues, but actually still was able to do an OK job I think. I actually "crimped" my hair the night before, and it held fantastically for over 15 hours, before I ever actually worked on the "do." So, I was quite impressed with this thing. It did everything I needed it to and more! I still use it, whenever I want to give myself a bit more volume on date night, and it works fantastic! The cord is really long, it is light-weight, heats fast, and easing to use. I have only used it up to the third heat setting, mostly the 2nd, but sometimes the 3rd. I have never noticed a smell on these settings, and it does not burn my hair. For my hair type, I would never go hotter - I would never with any curling iron, for free of damage or actually burning off my hair! But it is pretty hot and works well for me at this level. I didn't take a great photo of my before hair on Halloween before we got busy, but you can still see the crimp and it held so well - this is with zero product in my hair, and probably 25 hours after I did it (even having slept on it!).

It heats up very fast and there are multiple heat settings so it’s perfect to work on cheap and good wigs, large temp range helps prevent the cheaper wigs from melting. Have used it for over a year so far and it still works great. I have used it for many wigs already
