Got this because most of the reviews were just nothing but positive and I’ve seen someone say it worked for their cosplay wig. I 100% can say it definitely works well for wigs (be sure it’s heat safe) and I have even used it for my own hair and it works very fast!! I do wish they had different plates or a crimper that is 7-8 tooth for smaller textures!! This one only has 5 so it’s bigger. A 7-8 tooth crimper would be god send for cosplay wigs or if you want the pattern to be even smaller. I just got this one because it seemed to be more affordable and had good reviews. I do like that it includes a glove. The heat levels are fine, I use the two lowest ones and they do auto shut off after a bit which is fine. It helps in case you forget about it or leave it away for too long. I bought this for my cosplay wig but I wouldn’t mind using it on my real hair for some texture or volume

I bought this for an 80's themed skate night, and let me tell you, the moment I plugged this baby in, I was instantly transported back to 1986. One crimp and I went from "suburban mom" to "Joan Jett ready to rock the roller rink." The crimping iron worked exactly as advertised, turning my boring middle-aged hair into a glorious monument to the decade that gave us neon everything and questionable fashion choices. Fe magical night, I felt like I could front a band instead of just driving a minivan full of entitled teenagers asking for "starbs." Reality check: My daughters were absolutely mortified, which honestly made the whole experience even better. Nothing says "successful parenting" like embarrassing your kids while channeling your inner rock goddess at the local skating rink. The price was perfect for what amounts to a one-night hair adventure. Will I ever use it again? Probably not. Was it worth every penny to feel like a badass for three hours? Absolutely. Sometimes you need to invest in nostalgia, and this crimping iron delivered peak 80's energy at a fraction of what I spent on hairspray back in the day.
