Versatile Styling Tool

I bought this specifically to use for Halloween, and my Viking themed costume. I had great plans...but ran into timing issues, but actually still was able to do an OK job I think. I actually "crimped" my hair the night before, and it held fantastically for over 15 hours, before I ever actually worked on the "do." So, I was quite impressed with this thing. It did everything I needed it to and more! I still use it, whenever I want to give myself a bit more volume on date night, and it works fantastic! The cord is really long, it is light-weight, heats fast, and easing to use. I have only used it up to the third heat setting, mostly the 2nd, but sometimes the 3rd. I have never noticed a smell on these settings, and it does not burn my hair. For my hair type, I would never go hotter - I would never with any curling iron, for free of damage or actually burning off my hair! But it is pretty hot and works well for me at this level. I didn't take a great photo of my before hair on Halloween before we got busy, but you can still see the crimp and it held so well - this is with zero product in my hair, and probably 25 hours after I did it (even having slept on it!).

iked it! nothing fancy, just does the job. i mostly use it at the roots for that instant lift and it works—gives that “fresh blowout” oomph without teasing. heats up quick, crimps hold all day, and it doesn’t snag. pros: easy to use, great root volume, long-lasting texture. cons: plates get hot (watch your scalp), and if you overdo it you’ll see tiny crimp lines—go light and only at the roots. tips: do small sections, quick clamp-and-release, then fluff with fingers. a little heat protectant + a light hairspray at the roots = chef’s kiss. overall: happy with it for volume days.

Got this because most of the reviews were just nothing but positive and I’ve seen someone say it worked for their cosplay wig. I 100% can say it definitely works well for wigs (be sure it’s heat safe) and I have even used it for my own hair and it works very fast!! I do wish they had different plates or a crimper that is 7-8 tooth for smaller textures!! This one only has 5 so it’s bigger. A 7-8 tooth crimper would be god send for cosplay wigs or if you want the pattern to be even smaller. I just got this one because it seemed to be more affordable and had good reviews. I do like that it includes a glove. The heat levels are fine, I use the two lowest ones and they do auto shut off after a bit which is fine. It helps in case you forget about it or leave it away for too long. I bought this for my cosplay wig but I wouldn’t mind using it on my real hair for some texture or volume

Its connected and It doesn’t want to work (I haven’t dropped it or anything)

Ive bought this a while ago and since It came It has been giving me trouble to turn it on. Ive tried long pressing the button, pressing it quickly, changing it to another plug and Its not working. But Whats rare is that It doesn’t happen all the time, But it does MOST of the time. Like for example a few days ago I was using It and It worked just fine and today It doesn’t wanna turn on. And It doesn’t look broken or the wires damaged or anything you can think thats wrong It doesn’t look broken. And It works just fine when It wants to work.

Great for styling Cosplay Wigs

I used this crimper for the first time to style my cosplay wigs and I think it was the best purchase I’ve ever made. Everything came in the box, especially with other wig styling tools. I got the purple color and it also came with a glove and carrying bag. It was super easy to use and came with multiple different settings for how hot I wanted the tool to get. I was able to get some really nice crimped edges that made the wig feel very smooth, luscious and full of volume. I didn’t see a lot of frizz, but there was a little bit of static. Very happy with this product!

EXTREMELY DANGEROUS — Sparked and Died During Use

I only used this hair crimper three times. The first two times were completely normal. On the third use, I set it to around 160°C and was pressing it against my hair near the roots when it suddenly made a loud popping sound and produced a visible electrical spark. It immediately stopped working. This was extremely frightening because the device was directly against my head and hair when it happened. It could have caused a burn, fire, or electric shock. As shown in my video, the device is plugged in, but the temperature display no longer lights up, it does not heat up, and there is no power indication at all. It is completely dead after only three uses. This is not just a defective product — this is a serious electrical safety concern. I would not recommend using this product. This is actually the first negative review I have ever left on Amazon, which shows how serious I believe this incident was.
