I bought this original blade and housing kit to expand the craft and cardboard projects at home. The product is robust and more than meets the expectations of heavy cutting. The best: Cutting quality: In 2 mm chipboard the result is clean. The hard carbide tip resists mechanical wear well and does not dull easily if the materials are clean. Safety: The package includes a very useful rubber protective cap to safely change the blade without touching the edge directly. Points of improvement: It is mandatory to perform the calibration process of the blade on a piece of paper before launching the final project, a step that the manual barely details but that is vital for the lines to coincide perfectly. In addition, it is necessary to monitor the sleep mode of the computer: if the screen is turned off during the process, the cut stops and the material is damaged. A great purchase if you need to add volume and consistency to your projects. Totally recommended within the official Cricut catalog.

Not the deepest cuts.

Depends on what you want to use this for. I used this for chipboard and I didn't feel it cut through it super well. I think a laser cutter would be better overall as compared to the cricut for thicker items, but it was cutting accurately and easy to use.
