This Bundle was my 33rd Anniversary gift from thoughtful husband. I am overwhelmed by everything this bundle includes. I'm actually waiting to use it until I've had a chance to thoroughly read the instructions and watch as many YouTube video's as possible. I ordered this Cricut, after I have owned a Cricut Explore Air 2 for 6 years. This machine is very similar to the Explore Air 2 version, but it is more compact. I love that it is a bit shorter, but still accepts 12 in width material. It fits on my printer stand much better than the previous version, with zero hangover. I also noticed that this Explore Air is considerably faster than the Explore Air 2, while performing its cuts. It is very quiet, and zips through projects in minutes. Cricut has also eliminated the dial on top of the machine, which allowed you to pick your material at the machine. Now you do everything inside of the app, which I am personally fine with. The knob was good for generic use of materials, but the list of materials that you can cut on this machine must be near 100, so the knob was of very limited use. This machine can be connected to your device using either Bluetooth or USB cable. I have been using Bluetooth from my phone, and I have had no connectivity issues. I honestly very seldom had issues with my Explore Air 2 with connectivity either. Cricut does a great job making their machines reliable with connectivity. This machine is incredibly easy to use. When you use design space, you are walked through the steps each time to send your design to the machine. I also find that Design Space is very user friendly. You can always watch YouTube videos, to help with specific issues, but the user interface is excellent. I have owned both Cricut and silhouette, and Cricut definitely has the shallowest learning curve. I ordered the project 135 bundle, and it has everything you would need to get started on several projects. This bundle is absolutely perfect for someone just getting into Cricut. It would be great as a gift, so that someone does not need to buy extra materials, and has everything they need right out the door. It comes with mats (One is even specifically for cards), HTV, permanent vinyl, cardstock, printable vinyl, a mini easy press, tools, transfer tape, a convenient paper trimmer, a scoring tool, an additional cutting blade, marker, and a pen. I already have a good amount of material and tools, since I have been using cutting machines for a number of years, but even I love all the new materials included with this bundle. Overall, I love love this new version of the Explore Air. It is so incredibly easy to use, and fast. I can push out a quick birthday card, when I do not have one sitting around, in literally in minutes. This bundle is fantastic, because it comes with everything you would need. I cannot recommend Cricut enough for their easy to use machines and app. This is my second Cricut machine, and the durability is also excellent. My is still going strong after 6 years. This is a solid bundle and offers decent value considering how much Cricut material you get in the box. If you’re just getting started, it’s actually a pretty nice way to jump in with a good variety of supplies instead of having to piece everything together separately. Performance is exactly what you’d expect. It cuts and writes beautifully with clean, precise results. No complaints at all on that front. It’s a capable machine and handles larger format work well, especially if you’re getting into signage or anything that benefits from the larger bed. There are really only two minor downsides. First, I’m just not a fan of the color. It’s purely a preference thing, but it definitely doesn’t blend well in a workshop setting. Second, it uses the newer Cricut pen system. That’s great moving forward, but if you already have a collection of the older style pens, it’s a bit annoying. That said, adapters do exist, so it’s not a deal breaker. I did run into the pairing issue that some others have mentioned. In my case, it turned out to be caused by ad blocking services on my network. The Cricut software comes with settings for older machines built in, but it needs to reach out to a cloud CDN to pull updated profiles for newer ones like the Explore 5 and Joy 2. Once I temporarily disabled that, it paired without issue on Windows 11, macOS, and iOS. As for value, it’s definitely on the pricier side. If you actually need the larger format capabilities, it makes sense. For me personally, my Joy 2 handles about 90 percent of what I do, mostly cutting smaller precision adhesive pieces, so this ends up being more of a specialty tool. Pros: -Generous bundle with lots of included materials -Excellent cutting and writing performance -Great for larger projects and signage -Works across multiple platforms Cons: -Color options aren’t great -Uses the newer pen system which may require adapters -Pairing can be affected by network blocking -Price is on the higher side -Wish it had a cover over they tray area when closed If you need the larger cutting area, this is a great machine. If most of your work is small and precise, something like the Joy 2 may make more sense. Regardless, it's well built and I expect it to last for a number of years to come! ... show more
