Worked perfectly right out of the box. I come from a professional background and am used to operating Pro Software and Vinyl Cutters. The software takes a little getting used to, but once you figure out your work-flow, this setup becomes very trouble-free and gives me the results I need for my projects. I've done some research on the consumables and pricing seems to be on the reasonable side. My only worry is the carriage that holds the blade / markers / etc.....If this part breaks, it doesn't look like there's a fixable option and everyone ends up having to purchase a new machine. This is probably my. only gripe. If I'm wrong, I'd love for Cricut, or anyone for that matter, to let me know where parts can be purchased. ... show more

This is a great upgrade and would be perfect for anyone first time to Cricut. Its a smaller foot print than the previous machines which I love. And faster! It comes with everything you need to make a few projects right away which is nice since the software/set up walks you through to acclimate you to the whole thing. Easy set up and all the tools. I recently sized-up from a Cricut Joy to the Explore 5 and I am SO happy with it!! I’m primarily using it to cut vinyl decals for use in making stained glass artwork. Previously, I was printing and manually cutting out patterns, but now the dual drawing and cutting capabilities have saved me a tremendous amount of time on my projects. It cuts vinyl quickly and cleanly, it’s very satisfying to see in action! The vinyl I got with my kit holds up well, even while wet grinding the glass. The 100 project bundle was really nice for me to start out with as I had less experience with the drawing/writing features. It gave me a lot of inspiration to try features other than vinyl cutting. I actually made a card with one of the templates ready to go in the software. The interface is super user friendly, whether I’m uploading a pattern or designing something new in the software’s design space. I’m excited to keep using it. ... show more

I love my new Cricut! The set up was incredibly easy and its sleek design fits perfectly in my workspace. It’s super easy friendly, I had my first project printing within 20 minutes of set up.     • Good Machine, TERRIBLE user experience specially for designer savvy people

Includes only USB c to c cable or Bluetooth, I'll update my review once I get the Bluetooth dongle for my PC to connect with it update: I really just hate this machine, the ONLY software you can use with it is Cricut design space and it SUCKS for anything other than cutting, I have to set up my whole sheet in photoshop because their software is so bad and clunky. Today they decided to do maintenance and you can't even log in or use it unless you preemptively turned on offline mode which makes me wonder if my designs are out there in world somehow without my knowledge The machine is fine, it cuts I guess except if by chance your print is slightly off then the machine goes bonkers and cuts randomly and/or scales designs however it decides is correct, no error screen, nothing, it just goes ahead and makes you waste material I honestly think I'll ask for a refund and I'll spend a bit more money on a different brand cutting machine ... show more
