I picked this one because so many of the electronically controlled ones had complaints about failures in the displays or controls. These dials work great. It's a little noisy but that's to be expected, however, if you put a couple of layers of painter's tape over the corners they act as a cushion when you put the lid on so it is noticeably quieter. One of the reasons I picked this one was the hanging handles on the baskets. I didn't want it to touch the bottom. This didn't work out as the handles are mostly decorative since it has four feet like other units that the basket rests on even if the handles are hung over the lip of the basin. If you have carbs you need to clean, just buy it. Using purple simple green, the carbs come out like new and all the old ethanol crud out of there. I've done probably a dozen carbs now and a couple handguns and it does aa great job. I opted for the manual dials since if they did break, they would be easily replaceable unlike the touchpad model. I've used this for cleaning small engine carburetors and it's doing a great job. The heater works fantastic. I've read reviews of other cleaners and that was an issue. I also prefer the "old school" controls. I'm wary of some touch pads. This thing has made fast work of cleaning completely. I'm going to try it on some old dirty rusted tools too.
