Description
About Degas Mode: It is a process of removing gases such as air from liquid cleaning solution. It helps to improve the cavitation effect of the ultrasonic cleaner, leading to more intense and efficient cleaning. The degas mode accelerates the removal of air contained in cleaning solutions by introducing short breaks in the ultrasonic operating cycle, eliminating the need to wait for hours for the degassing process by letting the solution sit out. Freshly filled cleaning solution. Once a solution is degassed, it doesn't need to be degassed again unless replaced with new fluid. The ultrasonic degassing process involves fine bubbles rising to the surface, similar to pouring beer, creating a high-pitched sound until fully degassed. I have gone through a few small, budget priced ultrasonic cleaners in my shop. They usually work OK. Temperature control is always iffy, there is often no facility to degas cleaning solutions and cleaning action isn't great. Eventually the heating elements go or the transducers go. The CREWORKS 6L Digital Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine is impressive for a number of reasons. The unit has three transducers which is on the upper end of transducer count for a 6 liter unit. The machine has a degassing function that can be used throughout the cleaning process, cycling between degas and clean, or for time of operator choice. The Creworks has excellent temperature control. There is a solution temperature rise above ambient with heat turned off, but this is normal for ultrasonic cleaning and caused by process cavitation. As an example, solution temperature rose from 61°F to 68°F during a full power, 30 minute cleaning cycle. The 6 liter size is handy. Usually they are too small to fit all of the machine pieces I work with, or too large and waste solution. This one is right for me, particularly with this tank's capacity and aspect ratio. The unit is well made. nicely finished and it definitely improves the appearance of my work bench. Of greatest importance, it cleans parts really well, and it does so quickly; light oxidation, waxy grease, general crud. The ultrasonic process gets into every surface. I'm very happy with the Creworks machine.

This is my first ultrasonic cleaner so I didn't want to go overboard without knowing the technology itself was going to do what I wanted. I bought a reasonably sized model that seemed to be reviewed well. I was advised that I should make sure the one I bought had a "degas" function and this one does. That just gets rid of any stored air in the liquid you're using to make the cleaning process safer on things like electronics, and more effective. You'd be surprised how much air comes out of even just plain water. It works well. Does what it's supposed to do. I clean stuff like watch bracelets, glasses, rings, and other things that get gunky and are hard to clean using normal methods. I've also cleaned very small PCB's. You can use the cleaning function with or without heating, although if you do it for a long time, the water will warm up regardless. But generally you would want it at least somewhat warm. If you're heating cold water, be advised that it will take a little while just like trying to heat a pot of water on an electric stove. You need to turn on the heating function first, wait, then start cleaning. I don't find the noise especially loud or annoying but I am a middle aged guy who's probably lost the top 8khz or so off my hearing (we all do over the years). I know my dog hates this thing and will run to the opposite end of the house and sit in a corner whenever it's on, even if I keep it in the laundry room and close the door. Something to consider. I'd use it in the garage if I had an outlet there. I may start using it outside, though I don't know how far the ultrasonic part of the sound travels. I don't want to freak out every dog in the neighborhood. The one thing I'd do differently next time is get a bigger model. Again, I intentionally kept it a little smaller for my first one because I didn't know if I'd even like it, but it was a bit smaller than I even expected when I got it, and now that I've had it for a while, the size is a little bit limiting. It is fine for jewelry and the other things I mentioned. But if you want to be cleaning stuff like tools, circuit boards, or even vinyl records (yes, that's a thing you can buy an attachment for), you need the next size up.

I am pleased with the Creworks sonic cleaner. It seems to work well, is expectedly noisy although I don't find its noise level objectionable, and has good design. The handles are cool and convenient to grip, the interior surface is stainless steel, of course, and cleans easily, and I have had no problem with the exterior finish. This one has the electronic controls which are fine with me, but I think I might have liked the manual controls a bit better--easier to operate. Heat is variable, timing goes up to 30 minutes, de-gas feature is excellent, and the gentle cycle is nice to have available. The 3-liter size works very well for jewelry, eyeglasses, and dental items, yet the overall size is quite manageable, doesn't weight much, and takes up little counter space. The unit is made in China, so I shall see if longevity turns out to be a problem. But for now I am very pleased with this product and use it daily.

Great size for small objects so as not to crank up my big Ultrasonic cleaner. works well and heats us fast I believe because it is a smaller size. only complaint if I wish the inside stainless tub removed or there was a drain because I don't like unplugging the whole cleaner and having to take it out to clean. other than that its nice and does its job even degass. most the little ones don't.

This CREWORKS 6L ultrasonic cleaner works very well and has more than enough power for the size. The 180W ultrasonic output does a great job removing grease, carbon buildup, and fine debris from small parts. I’ve used it for carburetor parts, tools, and metal components with excellent results. The digital controls are easy to use, and the degas mode is especially helpful for getting better cleaning performance right from the start. The gentle mode is a nice touch for more delicate items. The stainless steel tank feels solid and is easy to clean after use. Overall, this is a great value for a 6L unit and performs just as well as more expensive ultrasonic cleaners. Very satisfied with the purchase.

It's the perfect size for cleaning jewelry, eyeglasses, watches, small tools, and other delicate items without taking up too much counter space. On my second tank after the first one had a mechanical failure on the power switch. The new replacement I bought now is starting to fall apart. Audible loud noises while the power is on (ultrasonic is turned off, heater is turned off), so im just waiting for this one to die on me. They work well for a couple of weeks, but if you are looking for something to actually use for more than a couple of months I would NOT buy this product. Really with there was a warranty or something I could do to get a replacement since I have bought 2 of these.
