  • Great Wetsuit & Fits Well
Size: Medium Color: Pink
Based on earlier reviews about the sizing being really off, I ordered the M, L & XL sizes of the short sleeve pink and long sleeve black/pink wet suits to try out for my daughter. (She is 4 yrs old, fits in 4T-5T clothing, 36 lb, 40" tall. Based on the sizing chart she would be squarely in the M category.) In the end, I found the sizing to be as stated on the chart. (Not sure if the chart has been fixed since reviews in previous years.) We ended up keeping the short sleeve M suit. The wrist openings on the long sleeve suit are really small. My daughter has small hands and it was a squeeze to pull her hands through, so I could imagine it being a bit like a sausage casing for bigger hands. Also, the sleeves on the long sleeve suit are not neoprene; they are the thinner rashguard/nylon material, so we just figured we could throw a rash guard under the short sleeve suit and it would be equivalent. We've washed the suit we kept once so far and no shrinking that I could see. ... show more

  • Extra layer of warmth without breaking the bank
Size: Small Color: Black/Lime
Exactly what I expected. Got this for my 22 month old to help him stay warm during swim lessons. It’s not a thick suit, and the shoulders/sleeves/part of the back are Lycra instead of neoprene. He was still kind of chilled in just this, but it’s thin and mixed material, so I expected that. We’re going to use it as an under layer beneath regular swimsuit and rash guard next time. For $22, this fits my expectations. If I wanted super warmth, I’d look for something more expensive, thicker neoprene (3mm or so if I recall from my scuba diving days). Fit notes: ordered small (1/2) for him. He’s 36” tall and 29lbs (very long and lean) but it was still long enough for him and not too baggy. Leg openings weren’t tight but not baggy either. The 3/4 at his size would have been so loose as to be pointless. Comments about smell (based on other reviews): it smells like neoprene. If you’ve ever smelled another wetsuit or a neoprene joint brace, it’s the same. Maybe the other colors have stronger smells (we got the black/green), but I’m normally sensitive to smells and found nothing out of the ordinary. ... show more

  • Very Cute
Size: Large Color: Pink
The quality of this seems very good. Especially when you consider the price. My daughter is 4 and thin but tall. The large was a little loose but not bad. It will definitely fit all summer even if she has another growth spurt. Can’t speak for the sun protection because my daughter has never had a problem with burning, but it keeps her much warmer when getting out of the water. No more shivering like crazy! Color matches pictures nicely. Would definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Great quality
Great quality, true to size (but measure your kid and match with chart. Don’t keep it on your kids if they are not swimming, to avoid skin rashes. It is different than regular swim suit. My girls loved it.

  • The Sizing Is Off As Most of the Other Reviewers Have Said
Size: Medium Color: Black/Lime
The Sizing of this is WA WAY OFF as other reviewers have stated. Having read the reviews 3 x a piece, I still ordered it and decided to order up for my two sons thinking I had cracked the code. Too bad I had not. All of the reviews (in my opinion) go into specifics about their Childs weight and height blah blah. I will tell you this and it is a simple sizing suggestion: Take your Childs age.. Got it? Multiply it by 2 (yes 2) and then order that size in the size chart. If your kid is very undersized for their age, maybe x 1.5 but no less than that. So now I will go into the specifics about my kids - both boys I ordered the short sleeve style for a 2 year old and 5 year old. My 5 year old has just moved out of 5T clothing this last month, so I got the XL (7/8). It was a sausage casing on him and he couldn't move. I am not kidding. The 7/8 is equal to a 4T. My 2 year old - I ordered the Medium and it was tight all over, however he is very skinny. So I would say the medium is equal to a typical size 24 months infants garment, but the length is like a normal 2T. I have a feeling the large would be too long on him, so I am not ordering another one. If you have a 2 year old, make sure they are still able to wear 24 months. If you have a 3-4 year old, order a large. A 4-5 year old - order the XL. 5 Year old that is out of 5T clothing, order the XXL (I have not seen the XXL, but know that the XL is a no go situation) The length may not be an issue after a washing, its possible it could shrink up and match the sizing around? I do not know, because we left the tags on and sent them back. hopefully someone that has washed this will leave a review if there is any shrinkage up in length. The quality of the suit is great, very well made. Honestly, I think it would be too warm on the beach in the hot summer (thick). I am giving 5 stars for it being high quality. They just need to rework their size chart or say "fitted or loose" and give suggestions on that. I am a realist and knew this suit would be fitted, but there is a difference between fitted and being a tight sausage situation and not being able to move. Do not go by the weights on the chart, they are wrong. Ignore the measurements for everything else too. Do the age thing I suggested and will get you into the ballpark of where you need to be. ... show more

  • Excellent fit, quality and look
Size: Large Color: Pink
My LO loves it, the pool we visit is usually coldish - luke warm so I have been looking to dress her up a little more and this absolutely does the trick. She is also squirmish about new textures being "itchy", but the Cressi Kids Swimsuit is seamless on the inside and all materials are soft enough for her skin. Additionally, we purchased the Large size (age 4/6), she is 5yo, aproximately 42" and 38lb, there is room to grow in the Cressi Swimsuit, but it is a good fit, I would not consider buying a smaller size. ... show more
