I will admit that I'm not a strong swimmer and I simply just don't float well when snorkeling. Out in the abyss of the open ocean, I need the extra security of a floatie and this Cressi float is perfect! Just its presence provides me extra security and lowers my heart rate and breathing to make my experience that much more enjoyable. It's a bit big for my purposes, but no complaints from me!     • Exactly what I needed for a beginning paddle-boarder’s "safety buddy"
I have been wanting to take up paddle boarding, and I am definitely a beginner when it comes to water sports. I have been looking around for items I can use to make me feel more comfortable in the water and make sure I have everything I need to be safe. I picked up this float/inflatable from Cressi to use as a safety buoy / device, and overall it’s a really solid float. Since I’m new to paddling, having something dependable like this to make sure I am seen if I fall off or have an emergency made me feel more confident getting out on the water, which is a win. I played around in the pool with it first to make sure that it worked as described, and I am impressed with the quality and details put in to this float. What I really liked: The high visibility design in fluorescent yellow is great; it makes the inflatable easy to spot from a distance, which helps me feel safer out on the open water. It also has two separate air chambers so if one gets damaged or deflates, you still have the other. The build feels durable for the purpose, it doesn’t feel like a cheap beach float. It gives decent peace of mind for light water use (which is what I wanted) rather than extreme water conditions. I wouldn’t classify it as a heavy-duty or full rescue device. If you venture into rough water, strong currents, or a longer excursion, you might want something more robust or with higher buoyancy. But for my use, it is great. It’s compact and easy to store/transport, which matters when you’re juggling paddle board gear, leash, paddle, and maybe even a bag. It doesn’t add a ton of bulk. It has a built-in dry bag that works great and kept everything I stashed in it dry when I gave it my test run in the pool. If I become more adventurous or take on harsher conditions, I might want to upgrade. But for now, it’s exactly what I needed. ... show more

I picked this up for casual pool use and travel, and it’s been easy to live with. It inflates quickly, packs down small, and the material feels durable enough for repeated use without worrying about leaks.     • Incredibly high quality BUT may not accommodate larger waists or longer drags
This Cressi dry bag is incredibly high quality! (and I've used a lot of dry bags, both for hiking and swimming/watersports purposes, at a variety of different price points and target weights.) I love the bright color and streamlined design for open-water swimming, which is what we will be using it for (albeit in a fairly sheltered lake, so not as heavy wear and tear expected as compared to saltwater). The instructions are pretty clear and the finishing at all points--valves, cords, seams, connections etc.--seems really high quality; I expect this to hold up well over time assuming it's well taken care of and properly stored. HOWEVER. I really, really wish there was more adjustability on the length of the waist cord, and also of the waist clip itself. Just at a glance, the waist band seems alarmingly small to me (and I'm a petite slim woman).... I expect I'll get it on easily enough, but I'm not at all convinced that it will fit my dad for example (who is a very powerful swimmer but with a bit of a later-life belly coming on). I didn't have time to fiddle too much with the buckle adjustments before I put this into storage for the warmer months, but I wish the box had listed more clearly what the waist measurements are that this will accomodate. If this doesn't end up fitting larger sizes, I guess it won't be the hardest thing in the world to jerry-rig an alternative... But at this price point that's just kind of irritating to have to do. Also, people have all different preferences for how much trailing line they want on the float... some people like it close to the body, some people want more distance (me) to get away from the feeling of drag and being constrained. I wish the Cressi, which is perfect in all other design respects, just had given more thought to this very important element of use/customization. ... show more

I was looking for something to take when I go snorkeling on vacations that would be compact, highly visible, buoyant, and able to keep my glasses, sandals, and a very small towel on me and dry. This fit my incredibly specific needs perfectly. I wear glasses and use prescription lenses in my snorkel mask, but I have severely dry eyes. Occasionally the saltwater is too much, and I need to flush them with drops or I’ll just be blinded in the middle of the water. I can grab this and use it as a support while I carefully get my eye drops out of my phone pouch. If it gets bad enough that I need to go back to shore, I can beach myself anywhere, wipe my eyes with my clean towel, and walk myself back. NOTE: While this works perfectly for me, you NEED to test this somewhere safe before using it. I'm small and wear a wetsuit, so I don't need much to keep myself above water. Everybody is different. Inspect and retest it often, and always swim with a buddy! ... show more

I picked up the Cressi Glide Pro Dry Inflatable Storage Bag, and it’s been a great piece of gear. At first, I wasn’t sure how much I’d actually use it, but it’s turned out to be one of those practical items you end up relying on more than you expect. It inflates and deflates quickly, and once sealed, it keeps everything inside completely dry. The material feels tough and well-built — not flimsy like cheaper dry bags — and the seams look like they can handle real use without leaking. What I really like is the versatility. It’s great for water sports or beach trips, but I’ve also used it to store gear that I just don’t want getting wet or dusty. The bright yellow color makes it easy to spot, and it’s lightweight enough to carry around without any hassle. Overall, it’s a solid, durable dry bag that does exactly what it promises. Keeps gear dry, easy to inflate, and feels like it’ll last a long time. Definitely worth it if you spend time around water or just want extra protection for your stuff. P.s.
