Our family with four teens took a vacation to Aruba. It was advised that if we wanted to snorkel very much to bring our own equipment. At the last minute we decided to buy each person the Cressi Bonete Adult snorkel set. It came with fins, mask, snorkel and mesh bag. We snorkeled sometimes twice a day and this set was perfect for what we wanted. The small/medium fins fit our teens feet from guys 7 to ladies 11. My husband wears a mens size 13 so we got him the large/XL set. The masks were great and only leaked occasionally because of beginner error. We got some anti-fog spray and only needed to use it a couple times to keep our masks clear. The semi-dry snorkel worked well in the waves during our week in Aruba. We liked the color selection so we could color code which set belonged to which person. The mesh bag was great in keeping everything together at the end of the day. We took a catamaran trip with a group and were really glad to have our own equipment, particularly the snorkel. Perfect size for traveling. Fits in your suitcase and is lightweight. The fins are just right for snorkeling and are very comfortable. The mask also fits nicely with no leaking. Both are adjustable for proper fit. Comes with a convenient net bag for transporting to and from your excursion.

Bought this a little over a month ago for our trip to the Florida Keys. Used it once and it worked fine. The next day we tried to use it again and the purge valve cover has fallen off. Great snorkel set! Took on a trip along the Yukatan. Did lots of snorkeling along reefs as well as in fresh water cenotes. Definitely recommend as it was a life saver!

    • Semi-dry snorkel means not dry at all
Bought 2 sets for myself and my daughter for vacation to Mexico. The color is beautiful! Photo looks like dark purple and fuschia. Really it is black and fuschia but still pretty! Ended up returning them because: 1. The snorkel is listed as semi-dry. Should just be called wet because water from waves or submerging flows right in. 2. The mask did not fit my face at all. Fit my daughter fine but for me, the top portion of the frame above my nose had to be pressed so hard to get a seal that it cut into my skin (I don't think my forehead or the bridge of my nose is abnormally large). I know with kits it's always hit or miss whether all pieces will fit everyone. Honestly if the snorkel had been better at keeping water out, I would have let her keep hers. The color is unique enough that we couldn't find a matching one to supplement with. ... show more

    • Just fine for a novice like me
I'm a novice snorkeler. After practicing in a pool several times, I used the snorkel, mask and fins in a warm spring on a recent trip to Florida. Due to my lack of experience, I mostly swam at the surface, although I did take the snorkel underwater a couple of times. The snorkel was not too hard to blow air in and out of, and I didn't get water in my mouth. At first the fins were very tiring for the muscles in my feet, but I got more strength as I practiced in the pool. I had never used swim fins before, and I was amazed at how much farther I could go with every kick when I was wearing them. Sometimes I have a little trouble with leakage where the edge of the mask meets the place where my swim cap meets the side of my face. In the spring in Florida, I didn't wear my cap, and I had no leakage. When summer comes, I'll take these to a lake near my home, where minnows swim up to me every time I get in the water.. ... show more
