I bought this cutter for less than $10. It’s a great buy at that price. I bought it before buying a $50 NWS/Felo compound action set of cutters, to see if these would work well enough to not need to buy the more expensive pair. Here is what I learned: I’ve been using Knipex cutters for over a decade. These cutters have about the same ease of cutting as my 8” knipex diagonal cutters—but they will not handle anywhere near the same materials, thickness, or abuse that my Knipex will… they also cost 1/8th as much (mine are the insulated pair). I wanted a compound action cutter that would be easier on my carpal tunnel than my Knipex, and knew that was an uphill fight to find something better. The NWS/Felo Fatastico Plus cutters are vastly superior as compound action cutters. They cut most things easier than it is to compress the spring on these cutters without cutting anything. Well worth the money. So that leaves these… what they are are really good and well-made cutters for this price point. Saying that in general usage they cut as nicely as same-sized Knipex for lighter tasks is honestly really saying something for a $10 cutter though. They’re pretty good diagonal cutters. I’m an electrician by trade. Locking mechanism sometimes gets in the way. But other than that, they do their designed to do. I don’t yeah that’s great.
