  • Open end and box wrench was just what I needed.

  • Simply Perfect
Only need a 9/16 with open ended ratchet for work but couldnt find one that was cheap and had decent reviews. Decided on this set because it was what i wanted with more. The open ended ratchet works just like i need it to. The price is affordable and ive never had any issues with durability (granted i only ever use it to tighten or loosen nuts). Only issue is with the finish getting scratched off, but that doesnt matter when looking for a long lasting tool to do work. ... show more

  • Hard to put on bolt heads
They do not fit bolts well. Same bolt craftsman wrenches work fine

  • Convenient in some applications. Not a primary set
So, I bought these wanting boxed end ratcheting wrenches. I realized that these were not before delivery. Was gonna cancel, but thought I’d just keep them and add them to the wrench collection as backups. I was a little sour thinking I’d never need them, but I did find a situation that they absolutely shined. Plumbing fittings. Or possibly any other flare fittings. The ratcheting is positive and convenient, especially in cramped spaces. I won’t say they’d replace a good set of flare nut wrenches, but they work really well for light to possibly medium duty work. Time will tell how they hold up. I don’t intend them to be my main for automotive projects, but I intend to put them to task ... show more

  • Not what you're probably thinking it is.
Classic case of "should have read the description." Bought these on prime day but was in the middle of a move so they got misplaced. Just dug them out and finally got to look at them. I was expecting ratcheting wrenches not an old gimmick. I wanted ratcheting closed end wrenches for working on cars with crusty bolts in tight spaces and for some tower work, places where I need the bolt engaged all the way around to break it free. Double disappointed as I bought both SAE and Metric. It's my own fault for not fully researching, but it was a lightning deal on prime day that I ordered quickly on my phone while taking a 5 minute break from moving furniture. On the plus side, they seem like very strong castings. Not cheap pot metal like in some of the tools coming out of China. Just ruined by a cheap gimmick. Edit: 10/31/2019 - I figured I should at least give these a try and report back. I used them doing some engine work on a lawn mower yesterday. The "ratcheting" mechanism requires such a wide degree of swing to disengage/reengage that I was never able to utilize it. There was always something in the way. It requires 1/6 to 1/4 turn turn to work and the cases where I need the ratcheting function are tight spaces with limited maneuverability. ... show more

  • Poor quality
Poor quality. I'll be returning. As I just now saw another reviewer show in video - ratcheting aspect does nothing. Why pay extra for the feature if it serves no purpose.

  • Ratcheting action versus real Ratcheting
Ok the description here is a little misrepresentative. Also the item is claims these are oxide coated. They seem to be painted with chips. I have some Crescent adjustable wrenches that seem to have proper black oxide treatment. Not as expected. Also the wrench plastic holder doesn't seem to hold the wrenches. Not really as I imagined. Sorry this gets D minus! ... show more
