The product does not work well during the daytime. However, the night time function does work well. The function buttons take a bit to figure out. This one is better than others i gave because I can use night vision without being forced to use on board illuminator, allowing you to be invisible or use a 940nm illuminator

I really want to love the product. But the "take a photo button" is only working 10% of the time and I can record a video about 20% of the time. I reached out to their support email that says they promise a reply within 24 hours. (See my attached photo) After two weekend days and three full business days later... I reached back out to them. On the 4th business day I got a message that had nothing to do with my product (something about being in time lapse mode... there is zero in their manual or the binoculars setting about a time lapse mode). And a request that I explain what I meant by the button not working all the time in video mode. So I replied back with an image from their manual about the button and rephrased my questions about how often the button should work. I replied within a hour of getting their message and now 4 days later. Still waiting on a reply. Bottom line. If your product comes working out of the box then you will more than likely love the product. If you have any questions for support... then I hope you have weeks to wait on an answer. Oh and their phone number is busy no matter what time of day you call it. I can tell you that the on screen image as well as the photos and videos when you can get them are awesome. The images are up to 5MP's and the video is 720p.

Not only was the device covered in greasy fingerprints, there was even a nose print on the view finder. Pretty gross. I agree with all of the other reviews on function. This is about as good as some IR attachments for your cell phone - in fact I would recommend that path over this $300 Toy - This is a toy, for kids, certainly not a legitimate way to observe at night. If the device was fixed to a tripod, with a seperate IR illuminator, you could get decent pictures of a fixed location, but the device has no ability to track/focus on movement and the IR isn't strong enough to allow focus on the depth of view. By the time the object is far enough away to focus the lens, the IR is not strong enough to light up the area. Would have been a waste of $300 if I actually received a new product, but the fact that I received merchandise that someone else returned, likely for the same reasons I did, and the product was just sent out again without even being cleaned, speaks volumes to the quality...

I really like the viewing screen and the clearness of the picture. I could tell instantly what I was looking at. No question, is it a cow, deer, hog? We frequently night hunt feral pigs on private land, we have infra red scopes but I am not confident that what I am seeing is a hog and not a calf. Now I pick up my rifle, turn the scope on and have no qualms about pulling the trigger. I had a little trouble finding the on button without pushing the visual adjustment several times first. I'm sure that is a minor problem that will be gone as soon as I am more familiar with the buttons. I am really glad we purchased these.

Was really excited to get these despite some negative views. Took them out on a very dark night camping. The field of view was just too narrow to make these overly usable. At 0x magnification, you still don't seem to see much compared to the naked eye wide angle. Trying to find out dog in the dark was frustrating and it was what we were using as a bench mark. The field of view is so small, I'd have to take the screen down, be pointed at the dog and then scan up, down and around until I could find it. Maybe this is just a limitation with a 1" IR emitter. The adjustment on the IR lens seemed to make no difference in field of view. Taking a picture in night mode was also a bust. I'm not sure how still you are supposed to stand it how long you need to stay still, but the photos always came out blurry. Fun idea, just not where it needs to be to have much purpose.
