  • Absolutely beautiful piece of furniture!
Color: Oak Style: Granite Top
For those that mention difficulty in assembly, you're probably measuring difficulty on amount of time to put together. Yes, it took time but the directions are very cut and dry and the piece was easy to follow and put together. And as far as one reviewer stating that the drawers don't pull out all the way, i haven't had that problem. All drawers are smooth and pull out normally. Both of the pieces arrived together, but apparently some are saying it can arrive separately. The granite top comes separately from the base and its encased in a crate. Mine arrived in perfect shape. When you open everything up, yes, it can seem overwhelming at first, but get everything out and organize items in a semi neat fashion and get to it. It's really not that difficult at all and I'm a chick and put it together myself Lol. When I got towards the end of assembly, to the 2 wood top supports (part V) I couldn't find it. I was absolutely ticked! I thought it was missing. But I came on here and happened to read a review and the V part is enclosed with the granite top so don't freak like I did. This is an absolutely stunning and very sturdy piece! It looks like it was made for my kitchen. I took a few days to put it together because I used Tite Bond no-drip wood glue to glue every single dowel in the base. I let the base dry overnight and assembled the drawers etc. I wanted to give it extra stability, but not sure it even really needed it...can't hurt, right? Lol. I also used a pen to mark off what I had already done in the direction book so I didn't get lost. The granite top is heavy as F, I'd definitely make sure you have 2 people to lift it if you can....BUT, if you're a lady who doesn't have "man friends" easily accessible I actually just used the peninsula I have in my kitchen to be my helper. I leaned the granite up against my peninsula (you can see it in my photos) and lifted one end to slide it up on top of it. I then pulled the cart along side of the peninsula and slid the granite on top of the unit. Piece of cake. I am using the castors, for now, but I have seen complaints of them not being sturdy enough for the weight. I did not screw the granite top on, even though it's in the directions to do so, so I can remove the top easily when I get feet to replace the castors. Really, you don't even need to screw the top on....the weight of the granite is WELL enough to keep the top firmly in place. In the end, I am super pleased with this piece and am definitely happy I bought it! You definitely won't be disappointed either:) ... show more

  • Classy, Snazzy And Priced Just Right!
Color: Off White Style: Black Top
I searched for a long time for just the right size kitchen cart for our space. I knew it would need to be 18 inches across and no more than 48" long to allow space for my hubby to still use his chair in the kitchen I searched for a "ready built" because I thought it would be so difficult to do it myself even though I have assembled many items. Finally I found this cart with just the right positioning as to the drawers and side storage. While the description says white it's actually more of a creamy color which will work nicely with white or almond. It will look sharp with a white kitchen cabinetry too. There was another just like this one that has the butcher block top that I would have chosen accept it was more than twice the price!! I decided there was enough black in my kitchen and went with the granite top for a much better price! The instructions were easy to understand. The drawer glides were already installed (two thumbs up)... If you have a little robot that sweeps your floors, go with the wheels like this because ours fits under there and that's just an added plus. So basically we are beyond thrilled with our purchase! The drawer glides are metal and painted and I feel the quality is excellent. Gee, can you tell how pleased we are with this cart? I showed it to our guy who comes in each week to do PT with my hubby and I think he is going to get one! Be sure when yours arrives to lay out ALL of your pieces first and then check them off on the instructions. That will give you a visual of your parts too so you can make sure they are all there and when you go to reach for each one you will have a recall of shape, size, etc. Oh and the top is truly granite so at 70 pounds you will want someone to help you position it. I know this is a long one but I hope it helps!! ... show more

  • Solid, gorgeous kitchen cart! Worth every penny.
Color: Oak Style: Granite Top
Easy to assemble, took about 2 1/2 hours. We got the warm oak color. I did it by myself and only needed my husband’s help to put the screws in to secure the drawers. I needed a second set of hands. (Use a power drill for this, a Phillips will take you all day otherwise.) Ok here’s a tip so you don’t lose your mind...my cabinet doors were mislabeled. Someone clearly stuck the wrong stickers on them identifying which part they were. Use common sense if you see something weird like that. They were labeled incorrectly, but ALL the pieces were in the box. Ok, so here’s the fun stuff....the granite shipped separately from the rest of the unit, so you will get two boxes. Our granite came one day and the rest showed up the very next day. It is super heavy. Assemble it near where you plan on using it. I assembled the base in my basement and easily carried it upstairs to my kitchen with my husbands help. He put the granite piece on top. (I thought I was going to be able to pick it up and do it while he was at work, and uh...ya...it’s way to heavy. Don’t throw out your back. Have someone around to help when you do this.) The cabinets have an option to put in a shelf on either side, but I opted to use them for storing recycle on one side and trash on the other. You can do this too if you buy a rectangular bin to store underneath. The cabinets have a magnetic latch to hold them shut, but there is no lip underneath for installing a baby proof latch. I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 16 month old. I may have to find different latches to lock the cabinets. One more tip: be careful when you open the boxes...do NOT damage the boxes. When I opened the granite it was in perfect condition. It comes shipped in a wooden crate type cage inside of a box. However, the “J” piece of the base of ours came damaged. I called Amazon to see if just that one piece could be replaced, and they said NO. You have to return the whole item! Because it was on the base in a place where I could use wood glue and hide the defect (because the damage is inside the cabinet, see my photos) I opted to keep it. Amazon credited me back 20% of the purchase price for the inconvenience, which was $100. But, my advice is to be careful unboxing it in case you have to re-box it to return it! Otherwise, we LOVE our new kitchen cart. It is super solid, well made and the instructions were easy to follow. Worth every penny and I’m sure we will be enjoying it for years to come. ... show more
