    • A loose collection of parts in an envelope, and a short bowden tube
Maybe I've had too long of a tube up to now, I don't now but this bowden tube is short. The "kit" comes in a plain yellow envelope, has no instructions, and is just full of loose parts. The wiring is setup on the hot end so thats good. It does not come with a certificate as shown in the product description. Hopefully this tube is long enough. I can't rate the features; I haven't installed it yet. -- Update -- I finally installed it and have been printing with the hotend with much success. The bowden tube; as short as it is, is perfectly fine. I just didn't know how long I needed I guess. Installation is pretty straight forward - you just have to get under your printer to remove the housing around the controlboard. The plugs and loose red wires slide in without a problem. If you have good lighting and a willingness to just jump into it instructions aren't really necessary - though you will end up either cutting the wire wrap off or cutting the plug end off the old hot-ends wire to get it off all the way. Too bad this "kit" doesn't come with a replacement wire wrap! That would make it pretty ideal. ... show more

    • Great fit, better than original hotend.
Aside from upgrading to a glass bed and printing a few guides & aesthetic gimmicks, my ender 3 is bone stock. Factory hotend lasted ~2 years before nonstop recent headaches, this replacement seems perfect. Installation is simple & straightforward, hardest bit was fishing wires through protective sleeves and removing a bit of tape off my original wire harness. First print took 12+hours, thing 3708108 (angle grinder disc case) base piece. No signs of over/under cooking filament, no signs of over/ under extrusion. One of the cleanest prints I've gotten from this machine! I wouldn't hesitate to order again IF i don't end up upgrading to a direct drive setup before i burn this out.     • Good purchase but be cautious
Always a good idea to have 1-2 of these extra on hand in case your Ender needs parts exchanged. Do not rely on Creality’s instructions at all to install these or take them apart, they are in very broken English from google translate and their customer service is entirely Chinese/China-based. I recommend YouTube searching third parties who have great install videos and walkthrough tutorials, there are plenty. Take EXTRA caution when wiring everything together in the control panel - it is pretty easy to do but you want to ensure 1000% that your wires are placed correctly and very securely. Also make sure your hot end’s thermistor wires are not damaged and your thermistor screw is not too tight, these wires are very small and delicate and they monitor the temperature of the hot end so if it is damaged or tweaked at all, you could have fire incident since it won’t accurately read the temperature. Use kapton tape to secure all the wires together under the fan shroud, it is heat resistant and will provide another layer of protection to your wires. ... show more

    • No terminal housing is provided for the heating element
This product isn't plug and play! They do provide a lot of great stuff, but be sure order a terminal housing for the heating element, as only the thermometer one is provided. The connector is a JST connector and it's really tedious to crimp. I don't know if this is standard for other printers, but mine definitely needs one. UPDATE: The unfortunate thing about the lack of JST connectors is that I love the quality of this nozzle. Its absolutely stellar down to the braided wires. I went ahead and ate the cost of buying a JST connector set, but I still don't think it should have been necessary. This was the last piece I needed to fix my printer and it has been running perfectly right off the bat. Incredible quality. Just include some loose JST connectors in the kit and it'll be a 5/5 product. ... show more

    • The right replacement
Kept getting clogged filament on my hotend. I bought this kit because it required no printing of a mount beforehand, as I was unable to print due to those clogs. The Capricorn Bowden tube was a plus. I had actually bought some Capricorn tubing on my own and that may have been the culprit behind the clogs, as it wasn't perfectly cut on the end fitting into the hotend. I rated this as easy to install because for what it is, it was low hassle. Obviously you need some experience, and it's going to take some time. It's not the easiest thing in the world, but that's not the fault of the product, but rather just how replacements in this area work. Overall, very satisfied, I didn't realize that some elephant foot I was getting was because of my nozzle/thermistor rather than my other settings. My prints have improved in quality since getting this kit. I was really only interested in the PFTE tubing, but this bundle definitely made it worth it. ... show more

    • Great while it lasted...
Overall this is a very good hotend but didn't last too long. I got about 100 printing hours in and now it consistently clogs. At least they are cheap enough to swap out every other spool. Edit: 5 stars for customer support! I was contacted by the Comgrow Team and they offered me a full refund for my iffy hotend. Note, I am editing this review on my own accord and was in no way a requirement for the refund. Thanks Comgrow! ... show more

    • Great value with Capricorn Tubing
Works as it should, fairly easy to install if you have pulled the original off of the printer. I did not splice and reconnect the new wiring, i just pulled my old heating element out and replaced it into the new heating block. I had a bad leak around the bowden tube of my original block, so buying this with the Capricorn tubing was better financial sense then spending hours cleaning the old one. The tubing alone is worth $10-12$ so a few bucks more and I had the whole kit I could just bolt back in place. ... show more
