  • Firmware doesn't support this and filament sensor
Just like the title of this review says, the firmware doesn't support both the filament break sensor and the touchscreen. Even though they're both made by the same company and have come out relatively close to the same time. Add to that the last firmware update was back in March so there's been plenty of time for a new firmware that will allow it to support both to come out. But for the time being I cannot use both at the same time so I had to return this. If I had known this information ahead of time I probably wouldn't have bought it right now. So buyer beware, they do not say what this is compatible with and not compatible with with their own equipment so now you do know. If you own any of the ender line 3D printers and you have already installed a filament sensor do not buy this or you will have a $50 paperweight. ... show more

  • Serious upgrade over the V2 screen
I purchased this kit as part of an effort to upgrade my Ender 3 Pro with a quieter 32-bit mainboard and BLTouch. I also happen to own a V2 to compare to. This touchscreen kit is indeed the official Creality kit (or at least is labeled and boxed as such). This touchscreen is excellent. It is MUCH easier to use than the factory Pro or V2 interfaces, and does not suffer from the V2's 8 character file limit (which, IMHO, makes this upgrade worth it all on its own). All you need to do to make it work on a 32-bit mainboard is flash the appropriate touchscreen firmware, which is available at Creality's website. No idea about long-term durability, but it's simple enough to swap out in a pinch. I am not actually sure if you need to swap the cable or not, but I did so just in case. ... show more

  • Won’t work if changing settings
We bought this to complete our upgrade to our ended 3 pro. We can not use it and unfortunately are still trying to reset our printer. We can not install it until we know the original point of printing for the auto level being as you can not set this I ce you install this screen.

  • Simplify your printing operations
Makes your printer easy to use, you will need to update your firmware to handle the touch screen and if you have the bl touch its another set of software to handle both the screen print and your bl touch. Bottom line all is available on line, the silent mother board or version 4.77 32 bit is the easier to upgrade, copy the bin file to a blank sd card and boot the printer from scratch and the update applies. You will have to open the mother board compartment and plug in and route one wire to the new screen. ... show more

  • Doesn't work on ender max
No where have I seen that this is a down grade to ender max non touch. Wanted a touch screen but this is not it for new board and max printer

  • It's a true Touch screen
The screen comes with a small installation fold out. It's fairly simple to assemble but you'll need proper firmware from the Creality site. The menu is minimal, lacking some of the features found on the non touch screen types. While you can set your z-offset for bed leveling, you cannot set e steps for the extruder or any other axis. To auto home you have to navigate to the move axis and press the center button. The screen is bright and clear to read and understand. I enjoy the touch screen but I probably would of gone with the v2 screen for an upgrade of my Ender 3 Pro. ... show more

  • Does NOT work with custom firmware
It works great. You have to press harder than on a cell phone but it works well. Unfortunately it only works with Creality firmware. It doesn't work with any custom firmware out there so I had to return it. I will definitely buy again when support becomes available.

  • Pretty much useless
Pretty menu, if that's all you want, otherwise useless especially with a BLTouch. There are virtually zero config options. no micro-stepping to adjust the Z offset. The touch screen itself is very finnicky and often requires multiple presses to receive inputs
