I used a little wax and mineral oil lube to the poles and they inserted easily. I have heard complaints about the fan, but I think it works just fine. The large zippered opening allows for easy installing and removing the laser into the enclosure. I used 1/2 inch EMT clamps to hold the enclosure to the table so it doesn't slide around. This is a good product at a good price.

Assembly was intuitive, but the instructions weren't clear for fan mounting (easy enough to guess based on pictures). All the parts were included in sealed plastic wrapping. Putting the fabric enclosure on over the frame was a little tricky (need to make sure you've pushed the poles all the way into the plastic corner pieces). Fit's snugly and the Velcro secures the enclosure to the frame. Enclosure is open on bottom so it's pretty easy to pick up and set down over laser machine. Gaps on bottom are small enough that smoke doesn't escape, but air can come in when the USB fan is on. It's easy to run cables through the holes installed, however I find running them under the enclosure is better since you can more easily pick up the enclosure to remove the material after a successful cut of a large piece of plywood. Note: There is no USB power adapter for the fan, and there is no lights inside the enclosure (some other products on Amazon have a light). I bought a simple USB light separately and wrapped the cable around the frame so it hangs and I can more easily see inside. Only concern is the clear screen doesn’t seem to filter out all of the blue light from the diode laser. I mostly got it for the fume control, so I still wear safety glasses when it’s running.

Easy to set up. The computer fan does a good job of pulling the smoke out of the enclosure. It is important that the enclosure sits flat on the surface supporting the laser cutter. If there are large openings the fan cannot draw the smoke out of the enclosure. This is a well designed product with ports in all the right places.

I like the size and light weight construction. Easy to assemble and use. My only complaint is the fan is useless. Doesn't move enough air to keep the smoke out of the room. I had to purchase a 3 inch duct fan to make it work. Not a problem but just plan on that if you purchase this.

It works as it should and if you don't plan to use a camera it is roomy enough. BUT, with that said, it looks NOTHING like the photos in the listing. From the photos in the listing it looks much more rigid than it actually is.

The open bottom is actually great for engraving on things larger than the laser. I read a comment where someone didn't like that it wasn't sealed on the bottom but I cut hdpe with it and the smell does not leak out. Which says alot. You won't regret it.

Assembling this enclosure wasn't too bad, the fan and hose are more than adequate for the price. However the egregious flaw in this product is hands-down the orange vinyl for the windows. I didn't have super high hopes for this enclosure in terms of visual clarity through wrinkled vinyl sheeting, but I did expect these windows to adequately provide protection without requiring specialty eyewear. If my laser module didn't already have an orange acrylic guard on it, it would have been extremely dangerous. You can still detect the purple/blue light wavelength through the windows. I will now have to buy proper acrylic plates to put rig over the vinyl in order to ensure safety. I would *not* recommend this product unless you are comfortable as a DIYer to make the necessary safety modifications. Any orange/amber colored rigid acrylic sheet even at 1/8th of an inch should provide adequate protection for a diode laser. DO NOT TAKE CHANCES WITH EYE SAFETY AND LASERS!!!
