  • Easy Plug-and-Play Camera
This is a super cool camera, and I love that it’s basically plug and play. It was very easy to install and worked great with my printer. I really like being able to go back and watch my prints, especially to see how something turned out or figure out what went wrong if a print fails. Overall, it’s a great little upgrade and definitely worth it. ... show more

  • Smart, Reliable, and Easy to Use 3D Printer Camera
The Creality K1 AI Camera is a solid add-on for anyone using the K1 series printers. It provides clear, real-time monitoring and useful AI features like failure detection and timelapse recording. Setup is straightforward, and the image quality is sharp even in low light. Overall, it’s a convenient upgrade that adds both peace of mind and functionality to the printing process. ... show more

  • Yep! You just need to get this too. Installation pro-tip!!!
Yes, get this camera too... It works perfectly and integrates into the Creality Print perfectly. Maybe not the finest Hollywood camera angles and focus, but 100X better than having to get up and go look at it! PROTIP!!! Installation is a well know PITA... Just try to install ONLY the hold down screws first without the camera or bracket! Then you can wrap your mind around the right drive key, angles, clear the threads, how to hold your tongue stuff... Then your mind will be all ready to actually do it, which will be vastly easier then! So save a lot of time just doing the bare screws first to figure it all out. Then actually bolting down the bracket and camera will be real easy! ... show more

  • Good picture quality, easy to setup, but look elsewhere if AI is your main reason for buying this.
The camera works good! It's very useful for monitoring your prints, and taking timelapse videos of the 3D printer doing its thing. It works well with my K1 SE. The video in this review is a timelapse I took with this camera. Setup was relatively easy with the included instructions. What I don't understand is why Creality calls this the AI Camera. The AI features are supposed to involve stopping a print if the AI detects a print failure. But I've only ever seen it take action once, and it was when I started a print but forgot to put the PEI build plate back onto the print bed. It paused before ever moving the nozzle and prompted to see if I wanted to continue the print. The Creality "AI" features need some work if this is the approach they want to take. I've seen more effective and reliably accurate print failure detection on other platforms using basic computer vision, never having to touch artificial intelligence to begin with. But with that being said, I think this is a nicely designed product, and I honestly expected to need to pay upwards of $50+ for this camera addon, when I heard it didn't come with the printer by default, but only needing to pay $30 was a nice touch. ... show more

  • Nice upgrade for my K1 SE
Decided to get this add on for my K1 SE. It was reported to be able to be plugged in and used. Saw an installation video and yes, it was able to be plugged in (wire harness and plug are behind a foam block in the front corner, remove the block, untwist the harness and plug it in). This appears to be an updated model camera as the mounting bracket is also a heat sink and has two screw holes instead of formed sheet metal with one slot like was shown in the install video. A little tough getting the mounting screws in but do-able with a ball end hex wrench and some patience. When I went to print, the video was live on the Creality software print screen on my laptop. Note that it doesn't appear on my phone app (not sure if it's me or just not available on the android phone app) so double check on that if you only use the phone app. ... show more

  • AI Mode is a joke.
As a camera, it works as advertised, and the quality is acceptable (not great, but passable). My gripe comes with the marketing scheme of Creality, which calls this an "AI Camera." IF any special detection functionality exists (I'm not convinced that it does), it was specifically programmed, and AI has nothing to do with it at all. Even at that, I do not believe that it is able to detect any type of problem at all - not even one. I once intentionally knocked a model off of the platform during a print to see if the printer would stop. Nope. It just kept printing spaghetti. It's one thing to have deceptive marketing. Creality is taking it to a whole other level here by deceptively marketing a feature that does not exist or work at all. If they didn't market this as "AI," I would have purchased it for the same price and would have been perfectly happy. I don't appreciate being lied to, especially when that lie is used to entice a purchase. ... show more
