Really happy with my machine. I did a bit of reading up about what I would need before buying it and I purchased a honeycomb bed and Creality enclosure also. I had seen pictures of machines which don't have air assist and I think all three of these things are necessary to make good use of the machine. I was excited to get going as soon as it arrived so I prepared by watching some videos of others putting it together. Those helped greatly, as many have mentioned the instructions could do with an overhaul. Took a minute to figure out the emergency off switch is activated when shipped. This should be on page 1 of the instructions. I also had an issue connecting my laptop due to it needing a USB driver update... once those were out of the way, it was time to burn wood! It's definitely a learning curve starting out and producing actually good pieces of work. You learn that maintaining the correct focal height of the laser along with the speed and power settings are vital. Making test cards to explore settings for cutting and etching saves a lot of time in the long run. I have been producing items which I assemble and sell on Etsy. It works great for what I need, sometimes wish the bed was bigger to run larger parts, but this machine for the money has paid for itself already via sales. The only bit I hate is cleaning it. It's a horrible dirty smelly job lol The laser itself can be complicated to take apart. make sure to take note of what was plugged in where and where screws go etc. You definitely need to vent this out a window, the fine dust for everywhere and the smoke isn't pleasant to breathe. The only other issue I have has is the wiring harness from the laser carriage sometimes catches or gets in the way of the limit switch. There is no good way I have found to cable tie it out of the way and still have it slack so the machine can move around. Some damage has happened to the outside cable protection from that. I've been using mine about 3 months and I truly love it! There might be bigger and better machines out there, but for someone with a budget who wants to produce great laser cut parts, this is a great option and the possibilities are endless!

1st laser and so far very happy. After watching a ton of YouTube videos (mainly about software, GRBL and lightburn) I am well on my way. Creality 10w seems to be a well built product at least for a someone just getting started - have not had 1 issue with hardware. If your new to the hobby... give it time and know 99% of any issue is not the equipment. I can see jumping up to a 20w or 30w in a year or so for better speed and depth of cut

Fairly easy to setup using a couple of YouTube videos for clarification of the manual. Ran easily after assembly (after I realized the emergency OFF switch had been set during shipping). Nice clean engraving and cutting on the thin basswood and some thin plywood. The air assist keeps the target area clean. Getting the enclosure to control the fumes.

The media could not be loaded. First off, the instructions for this thing are in Chinese… You get about 12 lines of English instructions in a 20 page book and they are virtually useless. You have to go and watch YouTube videos to be able to put this thing together and most of them suck… Then when you finally get this thing put together, you have to hope that it powers on. Mine didn’t power on due to an issue with the emergency stop switch that I had to fix on my own. The machine thought the e stop was on all the time when it wasn’t. There is nothing in the instruction manual about software, there is nothing about suggested software, there is nothing in the instruction manual that tells you what any of the beep codes mean on the machine… so when you press the start button and it beeps twice and then proceeds to do nothing at all, it doesn’t tell you why… maybe it does if you read Chinese… literally 90% of the instruction manual is missing. They give you about 6 English sentences on how to put the entire machine together, and then nothing else. They don’t tell you how to do any test runs, they supply you with a microSD card, but I don’t know if it actually has a file already on it or not because when I put it into the machine and turn the machine on, the machine beeps twice and then proceeds to do nothing… I don’t have a freaking clue what that means because I don’t read Chinese.. and nobody in any video has bothered to tell us what any of this stuff means. C reality should be doing it… but I guess they expect everyone to be able to read their Chinese instruction book… Then there is the honeycomb… They don’t bother to tell you that they don’t actually give you the honeycomb or any type of surface material so when I finally got to the end of following the video showing how to put the machine together, it got to the point where they grabbed their little honeycomb platform and start setting the laser height, and that was about the time that I realized I needed to stop and spend more money and buy more crap… you will have to do this too… get excited for the machine… then get frustrated by the lack of instruction with the machine, then buy an overpriced platform material piece that should have come with the machine… ( unless you want to catch your table on fire… ) they really need to disclose that you need to buy more items to actually use this product… and once you have waited another week for that stupid thing to come in the mail, then you can go back to trying to figure out how to actually make this stupid machine work. It’s probably really simple… But again for the 20th time I don’t read Chinese. and from the looks of these reviews, lots of other people don’t either. they need to show you how to use the product… I’ve had this thing set up for four days now, I have multiple 3-D printers, I literally have a $13,000 CNC router in my garage, and somehow it’s this stupid 10 W laser that I cannot seem to get to work… and that’s ridiculous because the main reason why I have yet to get it to work is because the people who sell it to you don’t tell you how to make it work. The instructions might as well not even be included… Creality, You’re lucky Amazon makes me give you one star as a minimum. I’m lucky that this is the first product I’ve purchased from you…. I will not be buying any other others. My blood pressure is through the roof right now.
