So far, I'm very happy with the machine. Easy assembly and they included extra hardware - a nice touch for those of us with dexterity issues. I hate having to get on the floor looking for a dropped screw. The included video is very helpful. The only complaint is that the written instructions are lacking depth but, thankfully, there are many good YouTube reference and tutorial vids available, I got the 5 watt version and was surprised that it cut through the provided sample plywood even at a reduced power setting. Exactly the tool I was looking for!

The media could not be loaded. So far I have only tried engraving in wood, aluminum (polished, didn’t leave any markings), and painted metal. I had zero experience in engraving before, so using the included software is a challenge for me and this whole process is just trial and error. I’m referring to lightburn specifically. I made my designs in autocad, transferred it to lightburn and only saved my trial gcode in the included memory card. I have yet to try and connect this machine directly to a computer. As advertised, one click in the only button of the machine lets you “preview” the work area so you can position the engraving material, the second click starts the real engraving.. BUT at my first, second and third attempts, the laser machine started working way off the preview area. At the fourth attempt I managed to get the thing working in the preview area as intended. I decided to study more of the software configurations before I use it properly. Overall, I think it’s a good value if you are thinking to engrave things yourself, it’s very simple to use (if you know how or had any previous experience with the software) and really fun to see it working. I am giving full 5 stars even if the printed manual has very little drawings and it feels like you need a magnifier glass (and a lot of common sense) to see all the details, as well as the English “instructions“... some steps might need a more detailed explanation.. But on the other hand it is really nice they have included a printed version this manual. So it’s more like 4.8 stars. The package included everything you need for the assembly process.

Firstly, in order to use it, you need to buy a lot of extra parts. You need to buy a box to put it in because if you don’t have a box, it’ll be dangerous. There are fumes there are flying parts and you will cut through your table your floor, whatever you put it on. They don’t tell you that every other piece has something underneath it to protect your stuff. Secondly, you it is only a 5 W no other company sells anything less than a 10 it barely works. It hardly works. It’s ridiculous. This is the worst thing ever I returned it. I gave it one star Because you have to give a star to write a review. Do not buy it a waste of time.
