I volunteer at an animal shelter, and these bowls are ideal for kittens who tend to be messy with their food and water. These bowls are also good for CH cats who tend to have coordination problems with feeding. I wish the seller would specify the thread size of the wing nuts in the description. I purchased two sets of the larger ring stand set, because I wanted to use two large 7” rings. I’m not a fan of stainless bowls for my pets, because I don’t like how water smells in them. So I protect my pets from any metal leaching into the water, by using enameled bowls. I purchased 7.0 inch enameled cereal bowls (a set of six) from Cambridge, on Amazon. These bowls hold 3.5-4 cups of water. They fit perfectly onto the 7 inch ring stands! See photos! I gave a 4 star rating for sturdiness, because the ring is not 100% sturdy. Sturdy for me, means that the ring does not act like a spring board, spilling food and water all over the place. This ring set, is so much more sturdy than the previous brand that I used, where the bowl slides into a partial ring, shaped like a C, which acted like a diving board, water everywhere! To the manufacturer: 1). Please offer enameled bowls, or an option to just buy the rings without the stainless bowls. 2). For larger dogs like my Husky, please design rings with larger mounting plates, to add more stability to the ring. Thanks! ... show more

I feed my dogs breakfast in the morning before I go to work. I have 4 dogs. The bowls kept spilling in their crate. I order this and no more spills. They r crated to eat so no one steals food from the others. The bowls r easy to wash.

These dishes are the perfect size to hold food and water for my black lab's kennel. He doesn't spend much time in there, but the dishes are big enough to provide half a day's worth of food if needed. I have had zero issue with spills or anything coming loose. Very sturdy with no mess. The only negative side is that the mounting screws are very long and stick out pretty far, but you could easily shave them down. Recommended product. ... show more
