So my son has had a few pairs of pants like this for football. This is the ONLY brand that has held up. They are protective in all the right places really protected my sons hip one practice where he took a hard tackle. I almost wish they would allow him to wear them in the games as they offer more protection than the pads they have for game pants. These are also very easy to wash with the pads in or out as you can do both. Would totally recommend to any mom or dad looking for durable protective pads for their football player. ... show more

Had seen a review stating to order one size up. Don't do that. I ordered 2X and I'm swimming in them. The plus side is that I can wear additional padding underneath and it covers my knee brace very well. The thigh pads can be removed but the others are sown in. My knees are staying covered so far which is a huge plus. Two games in and they're doing the job well ... show more

I read reviews. I base my purchases on reviews. I read several talking about durability but they have to be in tact to start, in order to test said durability. I am more than disappointed to receive a pair without a fully sewn leg along the seem.

I normally wear a 33" waist in jeansand shorts. I bought the L (34"-36") and I could not even get them laced up around my hips. I am not a big guy 5'7 180lbs.
