Description

V20 Cordless 7-1/4-inch Sliding Miter Saw has a powerful motor designed for cutting 2x dimensional lumber, hardwoods, baseboard and trim with ease. The sliding 7-1/4-inch blade allows for a cross cut capacity of up to 8-inch while the 9 miter detents and single bevel blade allow for angled cuts. The LED light eliminates shadows and provides an accurate easy cut line to follow. With a lightweight design and side carry handles provides the user with additional portability.

I do small craft jobs and this saw is great. It's lightweight so it's easy to pull out and set up. It's not made for construction work so don't expect to be framing, or cutting many larger dimensional wood. It's perfect for trim work and small soft woods. Im a professional handyman. This little saw is amazing! What it is not: a 15 amp 110v plug in miter saw. What it is: the most handy miter saw ive ever used. It cuts super well, lasts as long as your workday. If you are good about keeping your battery charged, you wont need another battery. Its compact, and as such you cannot expect it to cut huge pieces of lumber. If you are working with 2x4 1×4 2x6 which is about 95% of what you need a miter saw for, it works wonders. Cut a little slower, remember its a battery tool. It goes upstairs easy, moves easy, stores easy, slides easy, adjusts easy, makes jobs easy. Take it to the lumber instead of taking your lumber to your saw! No cord, no worries. Make sure your fence is square with the blade before cutting. Blade is holding up well so far. I just love it and am glad to add this craftsman tool to my bag of tricks. Its my wood shop on the job right now. I hope it lasts forever. ... show more

Didn't realize it was battery operated when I ordered but kinda like the idea so gave it a shot. My dad and I had a job redoing a bunch of oak trim in a house and this saw is great. Angles are perfect and light is placed where it makes a shadow on cutting surface like a shadow laser line. I thought for sure my dad wouldn't like it as he is a Dewalt man for everything but this craftsman saw so far so good. Will update if any issues too. July 2020: still love this saw. We use it at almost every job. The battery last a long time still and just started to notice blade needs to be changed. We use for trim, flooring and even cut metal schlutter (metal trim you put in before tile). We have events used to cut treated boards when doing a small porch job. Seriously can't say anything bad about this saw. Totally worth the price. I didn't get anything for this review either just love it that much. ... show more

This is a great miter saw the price was great as well. I would recommend this product to someone. I recommend getting extra batteries for it depending on what you cut or what type of wood you might need it.

33 yrs Tradesman here. Great for those quick little jobs, trim to moderate cutting. It has better power than the single battery Makita.... but then so does a sewing machine, that thing is worthless. But this saw is probably not for all day cutting or lots of major lumber. That's where you want more power than this. I'm very happy with this saw ... show more
