This 66 piece Craftsman tool set is just the perfect size to keep in the car. With a convenient travel case that can fit nearly anywhere, the tools inside are all labeled to prevent them from being lost. The legendary Craftsman lifetime warranty stands true. There isn't much to say about the tools themselves.....Craftsman makes great tools for the average home-user, and some would argue for the professional as well. If you are reading this, you know the tools don't need the review, but more so the case, and completeness of this kit. Again the soft-shell case is about the size of a medium sized 3-ring binder and holds all of the tools well.

This is a review of a free product. I am not compensated for my review. My review follows a strict format for ease of reading for all of my reviews. Initial thoughs on product unused: I wasn't expecting the weight of this box when I got it lol. The set is very heavy per se and of course its craftsman so you know its good tools. The items come in a zip style folio with everything in their place. All of them were still held tight even after shipping. Thoughts after usage of product: I had to use these today to work on an electrical project and man it was nice to have all the tools right there that I needed. I have had such terrible sets of tools and missing parts etc. This is such a nice set to have. As a tinkerer and occasional mechanic for small things this set is everything I needed. The tools clean up very easily and they go back into their holders pretty well. Major Like: Everything you need in one kit!! Major Dislike: I am not sure about the longevity of the case it comes in. The loops are those stretch fabric style loops and some of the tools are really large and stretch them to the max. They may or may not last. I however have a pegboard that all of these are going up on so thats a moot point. Recommendation to purchase most certainly!!!

This is a really nice set that comes in a carrying case to keep everything neat and organized. I'm not a mechanic, but I've wanted a ratchet set like this for a while, just for projects/tasks around the house. It's nicely polished and very heavy duty. I've had a little confusion trying to get some of the heads connected to the handles, but the ones I've gotten snapped on work great. (It could totally be user understanding there!) They do snap on and off easily but aren't loose when they're on.

I was a Sears Craftsman purist for years until all the changes in quality that started to happen in the 2000s. This isn’t quite the level of perfection that those 1980s tools were but this is still a heavy duty, rugged and durable set. It’s a great set for someone starting out because you get a little bit of everything. They are all correctly sized and fit on a variety of nuts and bolts without any issues. These things will last longer than me. Shop around for the best price but in terms of value from price versus quality, I was happy with this set at about a hundred bucks.

It’s been some time since i bought any Craftsman tools. My understanding is, they are made overseas now. With that said, this kit is great. Fit and finish is what i would expect from a high end tool manufacturer. Craftsman has never been a top of the line brand, more of a DYI budget friendly. But their tools last. This kit has some basic sizes, obviously you won’t be able to start your auto repair shop with these, but its a size that I'm going to keep in my truck, in addition to other tool i already have. I will probably replace the breaker bar with a longer one. The ratchet looks beautiful, operates smoothly. My only complaint about this kit, and im really nitpicking, is the case. Its a semi hard case, with all sizes marked on the inside, which is a huge help. But it’s kinda hard to get tools in and out. And some of the elastic bands that hold tools in place, already tearing apart, so im not expecting much out of this case in terms of longevity. Once those bands go, i will have a case full of loose tools, which is something id try to avoid

Great for slipping under the seat, this set is about 1-3/4 inches tall, and includes most of the socket sizes you would need up to 24mm / 15/16in. That few sizes that seem to be missing can easily be substituted using the metric or SAE equivalent. The case is fabric, so it doesn't slide around either. There seems to be a plastic sheet internally, which holds the shape well, without being floppy. I appreciate that the 1/4 and 3/8 drive overlaps at 10mm, we all know that size likes to go missing. The 3/8 and 1/2 drive overlaps at 17mm. The ratchet is super low profile, even better than the breaker bar which is a feat. The action feels good, but the internal spring is strong, so it isn't buttery smooth, more notchy with a lot of back drag. Only the 1/2 inch sockets are 12 point, the rest are 6 point. I would have liked to see more deep well sockets, but in a pinch, the wrenches work in most situations. A 3 inch extension can be useful in some cases where the 6 is too long, luckily this can be added for cheap. I would suggest tossing a few good screwdrivers in the set as well, or at least a 1/4 inch driver and some bits. I put some thin foam between the two halves as well, there was a bit of contact between the pieces running down the road causing some noise, which the foam solved.
