These actually appear like a smoke / black chrome, but they're quite nice. The 120 tooth ratchet feels like MUCH better quality than my old Craftsman ratchet - very similar to the feel of Snap-On ratchets. Now I'm thinking about updating my 1/4" and 3/8" drive ratchets.
