Always used mechanical torque wrenches in the past, this was a game changer. The audible beep was fantastic when your under your vehicle. Also can watch the torque number climb to be very exact for modern engine specifications.

Perfect addition to any tool box. The first thing to note is the conversion. Lots of 3/8 torque specs list in in lbs and ft lbs. So look cloesly at the setting. Not sure if it can read in lbs but comes reading ft lbs.

    • Easy to use and very acurate
I am surprised how easy it is to use this style torque wrench. I've checked it against my non-electric wrenches and its acurate.

    • Gets the job done
This is the easiest torque wrench I’ve ever used. You can scroll through different settings and get just the right torque on bolts and nuts every time. The downside is that you cannot lock in your settings. The electronics and buttons are easy to accidentally press, and so the settings can change on you in the middle of your job. I also had a problem with getting my original setting back to ft/lb from in/lb after the setting changed, and the wrench went into error mode, which cannot be cleared without removing the batteries. I wouldn’t recommend this wrench for a serious mechanic. The plastic grip doesn’t seem sturdy enough to withstand heavy use. For my purposes of weekend wrenching, though, it works good. ... show more

Does not work over 100 lbs. My car lug nuts are 118 lbs. Digital screen could be larger. having Nm and Inch lbs is a plus.

    • It's junk.
I've had 2 Craftsman torque wrenches and the ratchet mechanism on both failed after less than 25 uses. Go to buy a repair kit, they don't stock them any more. Too big to be paperweights so put them out with the bulk trash. Don't waste your money. Craftsman used to be a good brand, not any more.
