The 5-blade reel mower features durable heat-treated alloy steel blades and has adjustable cutting height of 1"-3" The composite wheels help the push mower with transportation and maneuverability. A reel mower uses a cutting action that does not bruise or damage the blades of grass. For best results from Scotts push mower, mow no more than 1/3 of the grass blade, so that deeper roots are encouraged. Increase the amount of overlap while using your push mower if your lawn reaches a height of 4 inches or more. Try not reel mower when the grass is wet. It usually produces a very uneven cut. Before using your reel lawn mower, make sure to collect and remove any lawn debris before mowing. Reel mowers work best on maintained lawns. If your lawn is overgrown with divots and tall weeds it is recommended to have the lawn worked on before using a reel lawn mower or it will take multiple passes the first time using a reel mower

I purchased a reel mower to get a better & lower cut for my grass. This mower does that but it's not suited for anything but smaller yards. The grass catcher does not work that well because most of the grass does not go into the bag and the grass that does sits closely to the blades & starts to interfere. The handle angle moves as designed but the angle makes a big difference in the cut of the grass. You have to push down & still move the mower forward for the best cut. I believe the inconsistent angle of the handle led to an uneven cut. If you have a small yard and can cut every 2-3 days then this is a good mower for you. ... show more

I was hoping to like this lawnmower, but it was too heavy for us. It was also not as easy to use as we thought. It's necessary to pass over the same spot repeatedly for a good cut.     • Poor mower to push and barely catches grass

I mainly got this because the mowing height of 3" but it's hard to use. When you push you have push the mower forward while pushing down to have enough force to move the wheels, they have little/no grip. Also the grass clippings are pushed to the left side and most of the clippings don't make it into the grass catcher. Poor design and I would not buy this again. ... show more
