It's soft but supportive, and didn't smell bad from off gassing like other mattresses I've bought. Purchase in November, was great for first 3 months, and now at month 5 I wake up with more back pain then I had with our previous mattress which was 20 years old. I got it on a great sale so didn't pay full price, but I was expecting it hold up considerably better for the listed price.
