I’m a beginner so this was trial & error since we have no instructions except that was on the box. The two thinner plates are for embossing where you sandwich the embossing folder and paper between them - folder opening toward the machine (the box shows it opposite and don’t work). Cutting is better for small cutting dies or it’s hard to crank like with the fence cut I have. Thicker plate on bottom, thinner plate on top, then metal cut ridged side up, then paper. Hope this helps! Great price and does when I need!

I just received this and am so happy with the performance. It might take a little practice to keep your "sandwich" from shifting, but it is the same with my Big Shot machine. But this little guy is so much easier to deal with because of the size, not to mention the good price. I would love to be able to purchase cutting plates with extended length though, not to mention replacement plates period. I left a question with the seller, maybe these items will be available soon.

I truly enjoy this little cutting machine. I have a bigger one, but my little one has now taken an interest in crafting. This works perfectly for that. It's small, it's compact, and so easy to use. I can't wait to buy more dies to use with this. Just be mindful of the measurements, it may not work for everyone; but if you're looking for something small for small projects, this works perfectly.

MOST of my die cuts fit, but some are too big for it.

Machine is nice and seems to work ok. My only problem is there are 2 cutting plates and one embossing plate but using the 2 cutting plates together does not work. You have to use one cutting plate and the embossing plate with it in order to cut dies. I have tried to find where to get more cutting and embossing plates with no success at all. I am now not so sure I really like my purchase after all.

Works as stated but you do not get die cuts that are pictured advertised. I got two embossing folders that are a different language I guess no idea what words they are supposed to be. Item description needs to be clear that you won’t be getting what is pictured. I did test out die cuts and they do work just not what I thought was getting.
