This lumbar support was fairly easy to put together. You just have to attach 2 screws to assemble it and with a little patience, you can do it in a few minutes. It is very different than any other lumbar support I have tried in the past because it is adjustable. When you get one that is just memory form, there is no way to adjust it. There are 4 different settings on this lumbar support so you can adjust according to your height. It is comfortable to sit against I just wish the elastic band on it to keep it in place on your chair was longer. I have a larger chair and I can only get it around the top portion so I have to make sure I have a cushion underneath me otherwise it is too tall. It seems to be well made and I believe it should last for at least several years. There really aren't any parts to wear out. If you are looking for adjustable lumbar support, I would recommend this lumbar support.

I don't have any experience with lumbar cushions, so I have nothing to compare this to. I do like that it is adjustable for height. It also has an elastic buckle, so you can attach it to your chair. That also seems like a handy feature to have. It is sturdy, but probably not as sturdy feeling as a cushion that is one solid piece. The downside of a solid cushion is that it is not adjustable. So I guess it is a give and take. Attaching the back piece is a bit awkward. It's best to put your hand underneath the black plate, and then let the cushion part sit on top, while you put the screw in. The first one goes in a little easier than the second one. It doesn't fit quite as easily into the back plate as I would like it to. Overall, I think this is the cushion you want if you need adjustability. I found that it fit my back just right, but I would likely have to play around with the adjustment a bit more. It will also depend on where you use it. I tried it in a few different chairs, and each one was different, as far as height goes.

I need serious lumbar support, so I have little travel pillows ALL over the place: on my couch, on my recliner, in my car, etc., that I’m always fiddling with behind my back. And for my home office chairs, I have tried SOOOOO many different designs from simple roll pillows to expensive lumbar gadgets. None of them has worked to my satisfaction. Softer pillows just roll around and eventually get squashed in the middle; harder supports become uncomfortable after longer periods of sitting – they can even start to dig into your back. It’s natural to regularly shift your body position in your chair, but you can’t do that with firm lumbar supports. And with soft, pillow-like supports, they just shift out of place when you shift. Enter this product: its design is ingenious. It feels like the back of an expensive office chair with good lumbar support, but the support is not static. Instead, the support MOVES with you: both tipping forward and back and tipping independently from side to side. No matter how you move or squirm in your chair, this product will stay with you and continue to support your back. I can even sit on one leg – where my body is completely out of alignment – but still have solid support on my entire back. I LOVE this back support. It’s light and breathable, and it honestly feels like you’re just sitting on a chair with the perfect back and not on a chair with some extra pillow or gadget that you’ve stuffed there hoping for some relief. One minor thing to note: the design of this product must have changed since the photos in the instructions were taken. The white backrest no longer has double loops of the strap; and instead of a small almost hanger-like hole at the top, it now has a much larger hole for your hand to grab. So just pay a bit of attention when assembling the product to properly orient the backrest (as it won’t exactly match the photos in the instructions).

I would give 5 stars but one of the cover slips is clearly smaller than the other. It will not stay on causing discomfort. I would change my review if I could get a new cover without having to return the entire item.

My office chair supposedly has lumbar support. Not so. I purchased this device and found it easy to quickly assemble and place on my chair. Now I do indeed have lumbar support. It is adaptable to any position you need for the support and really is comfortable.

It is amazing! It took 3 minutes to put it together and it has helped my back and posture so much. I really like that I can adjust the height to fit my specific body shape, then don’t have to fiddle with it anymore.
