The big plastic box carriers are cumbersome, heavy and the cats hate to get in them to go to the V-E-T. I bought a small one for my two cats who are 8 and 10 pounds. It is so much easier to carry them and they feel safe. My sister turned me on to this sack, raving about it for her two big boy cats. A slight drawback is I wish the shoulder strap were a little longer, though not a dealbreaker. The cats can see what's going on and they can be in the front passenger seat near me. The bag is sturdy and zippers work well. I'll update you when I use it for my skittish girl.

This was the only restraint bag I could find that worked for my cat for taking meds I couldn’t mix with food/trick him into taking since he had to take on an empty stomach. Previously I was wrestling and holding him down to quickly to push the syringe meds into his mouth and I still have scars from that. Using this has been very much less frustrating for both him and me and he was less stressed The fabric and weaving is made in a way that it’s scratch resistant! He scratches when we’ve given meds and only once inside the bag when we didn’t clip his nails recently did he push two claws out through the fabric, although that was brief and he retracted them What I did was put the Velcro collar around his neck first approaching him from the back as if I were to put a cape on him. Found it easiest to do this way to capture as much of his body at once and then his legs I no longer use this though because despite the med normally w instructions to be taken on an empty stomach my vet okay’d me giving the med with churu and my cat tolerates that I am keeping this though in case for the future!

I ordered this item because we will have 2 kitties coming home soon that will need their claws clipped (or as another customer said, murder mittens. The day the bag was received the current kitty became ill and had to receive medicine. We got to try out the bag the day we got it. Let me say first that the bag works wonderfully except for one thing which I will address further down. The first time we used it I got the kitty in and ready very quickly and easily. I am not sure if part of the reason was she was weak or not. We gave her the medicines, took her out, and gave her some calming treats. The next day is the reason I don't give 5 stars. I was preparing the bag to make sure she didn't get a paw out through the neck hole when I put her in. I gave a tug to close the neck hole completely and the strap came out! I didn't realize this until after I had started putting kitty into the bag. We still were able to use the bag, but I had to hold the neck hold so it was tight enough but wouldn't choke her. I thought the strap was originally anchored, so I contacted the company through their website. They responded within minutes and sent a replacement, which I received a couple of days later. I still wanted to use the bag for kitty's meds, so I got the strap back in that night and put a safety pin through the strap and the bag to prevent it from coming out again. That worked amazingly well! I left the pin in the bag I returned and made a suggestion to the company to just sew where the pin is and that would prevent it from happening to other customers. I have ordered 2 more bags and plan to sew them where I put the pin to prevent the strap from coming out again. Only 4 stars because of the strap thing but this bag is great for giving meds and cutting claws. The customer service was also amazing! I definitely recommend purchasing but hope they take my suggestion for the strap. In the meantime I will be anchoring the strap for all 3 bags when I have them.

My cat HATED THIS. It was so hard to get him into it because his tail kept popping out into the line of the zipper and then once i started zipping he would fall over and made it even more difficult. Once i got him into it, it was nice, if only he wasn't so mad! But he was so mad trying to get him out was hard and he would NOT let me get him in again later. If he liked it, it would have been really nice.

I read all the reviews and since most everyone seemed to love this, I thought I’d give it a try. Even on the main website it got stellar reviews. And for $20 what was there to lose? Well, my cats were too big for the $20 one and it was $40 each so that was a bit misleading, but I still decided to buy two of them. This was the beginning of my mistakes. Next, were my cats’ temperaments. We adopted them as kittens and they were foster kitties abandoned by their mother and raised until 8 weeks by a foster family. They have always had issues with confinement, nail trims (hence my desperation in the bags), taking medication, strangers and any abandonment. They love us dearly (almost smothering so 😂) and we love them. But this bag was a total waste of $80 for me and I missed the return window. I got each cat in it once leaving us all sweating, covered in fur, and only partially nail-trimmed. Save yourself the hassle, heart-aches, kitty glares and cold shoulders, and your hard-earned money. If your cat/cats don’t like to be confined, this isn’t for you! No matter what the reviews say!!!!

Absolute game changer. I have scars from getting my cat into his carrier. With this product he never stopped purring even while I put it on. Cried in the car but didn’t struggle and didn’t run under the bed when he got home He’s sitting on it eating a cat treat now. Amazing!
