i was a little skeptical because i haven't heard much good about "those cheap chinese made milkers." but this thing is great. i have named it the milk monster ^.^ been using it about a week and a half now and these are the things i have noticed with it. came with a little bit of surface rust on the cups, but it came right off. one of the small tubes going to the inflators had a nick in it (i assume from shipping) when i took it out of the packaging. no big deal, i just moved it up. eventually i'll probably just cut that off and put it back on. ppl say not to buy these because you can't buy replacement parts for them, but i checked and i can buy new cups with inflators for $18 and a new machine for it would be $50. the tubes are easy enough to find when i need new ones. it does only have 2 cups, but i find that much easier to manage since one of our cows only has 3 teats. one of the reviews i read for one identical to this one said that theirs would suck in the metal on the can. i've only had this happen once. the first time i turned it on. scared me half to death, but it hasn't done it since. didn't bother the cows at all. i've seen other ppl build little tables to set theirs on with wood blocks to hold the machine in place. first time turning mine on, i had it sitting on top of a bucket which it very quickly vibrated itself off of. oops! for now, i am keeping it in this grooming tote until we get something permanent built. it can be a little finicky getting it to suck somedays, but i feel like that is just the nature of trying to work with anything that uses a vacuum. normally i just need to fiddle with the connectors at the Y and it fixes itself. they mention in the ad that it's like a gentle massage for your cows. i stuck my thumbs in the cups like they say to test it and make sure everything is working... i wouldn't say it is pleasurable. it's not good, but it's not bad... best word i can use to describe it would be "awkward." the girls certainly don't enjoy it, but they DO enjoy not having to stand in the milking stall for so long. this sucker saves me a good 3 hours a day. and that's 3 hours more they have to be out in the field eating grass. it says that when the canister is full, the gauge will get stuck on 0.8... we've only filled it up once and it did not do that to me. the gauge still kept pulsating, it was just going higher than what it was before. also, it does in fact hold 3 and a half gallons. instructions could be better, but some things get lost in translation (i got a good laugh out of them calling udders "milk bags" LOL). when it gets close to the end on a quarter, you will hear it start to make a different noise and as the bag empties and gets looser, you will see the cup climb its way up closer to the bag. once you no longer see milk coming out in the clear part under the cup, just squeeze the "milk stopper," as they call it. i normally have to squeeze the teat just above the cup to break the suction and pull it off to stick it on another. lastly, it does work on teeny tiny teats. one of our cows has a back teat so small that my little dansha milker could not get anything out of it. i was worried that this one wouldn't either, but it has no problems at all. ... show more

I wanted it to work. When the first one malfunctioned, I opted for a replacement. The 2nd canister warped the first time we used it as soon as it began to pressurize. Subsequently, it is impossible to pressurize with such warping. Returning it and giving up. The metal is a cheap alloy and has no tensile strength. The factory is failing you. I gave you 2 stars for good customer service and because otherwise it is a great product, if you solve that one problem, which is everything. ... show more
