Fantastic tank, would buy again, I specifically bought a shower head attachment for it. I'm using this as an off-grid water storage tank. Every few days I bring home 2-3 of the 5gal size and it's been perfect for my needs. Washing dishes, taking baths, refill water, etc. overall I'm very happy with it. Mine appears to have a few minor cosmetic issues. It looks like some debris fell into the plastic during the mold process because it has a few dark spots embedded in the tank. Hopefully it's not toxic 🤷 For the people saying that it's leaking- either yours is missing the rubber washer, it's backwards or misaligned, you tightened it too much, or you added Teflon (if it has a washer/gasket, DON'T USE TEFLON) ... show more

Works as expected. Put hose connector part on,and didn’t leak. Some people complain about it leaking,but have since ran a bead of silicone around threads on tank. So far very happy with it.

It leaks where the drain fitting is. I assumed this would be the case because of other reviews. However, I dont feel like it deserves 4 or less stars. After all, its the best deal per gallon on all of Amazon. So a trip to the hardware store just to buy $8 worth of parts is still a great deal. Or, if theres some silicone caulk or an equivalent, that would be enough to stop the leak. ... show more

Bought this to carry water in my UTV to water plantings that we can't reach with a hose. Tank itself fits well in my UTV and seems adequately sturdy, but is hard to strap securely to the bed (curved sides without mounting points or good recesses to hold straps). But the huge FAIL is that the plastic fittings for the drain outlet are really cheap and inadequate. As other reviewers have noted, the fittings as provided WILL leak, so you need to put in extra effort and supplies (washer/o-ring, caulk/joint paste, glue) to stop the leak. The bigger issue is that the 3/4" hose fitting is poorly designed and too weak to attach a hose to. Mine sheared off the first time I used it! I would have returned it but it's so oversized that would be a huge hassle. Instead I've had to buy additional fittings to close off the original drain and install a higher quality bulkhead fitting and tap elsewhere on the tank. So, extra cost and time to make the tank useful. Fingers crossed that the tank will last long enough to justify the effort. I would not buy this again and am unlikely to buy anything else from Chapin. ... show more

This tank is great. Well made and holds all the water I need. I use it when I’m burning my brush pile in the back yard. Beats having to use 5 gallon buckets! I put it in the back of my side by side and hooked a battery operated transfer pump to it so I have on demand water to spray on the burn pile as needed. I like the hose attachment is in a great location and the opening on top is easy to get to and large. Tons of uses , you can use it for spraying etc. ... show more

Great water tank! Super sturdy and holds so much water! I used this when camping for a week without shower access, just filled this up and ran my portable shower head through it and had good showers the entire time only filling it once.

Great tank same issue as everyone else. The drain cap is brittle and broke off right away rendering the whole tank useless. I have been unable to find a proper replacement ar get in touch with customer service in an attempt to get a replacement. So I am either stuck Jimmy rigging a new cap or buying a complete new tank...not cool ... show more
