This halter has met my expectations and then surpassed it. I usually have Nubians goats, so when looking for a size for my Nigerian Dwarf I had no clue what I was looking for. I bought these for Nigerian Dwarf goats. Male has a mind of his own, so I have seen him basically take off and drag my daughter behind him. So I bought this harness for him and his sister. Now my daughter can actually walk both of them and control them even if they are spooked. Both of them are double the weight of my kid. That is impressive. Admittedly, a lack of training on his big Nubian doe was partly my fault. I should have lead trained her better when she was younger. Now, she's full grown and totally headstrong. She can yank me off my feet and drags me around (I'm not a very big person). No more! I got this halter hoping it would fit her big head, and it does. Once she had it on, and I attached the lead, she immediately tried to run off. Nope! Just holding the lead in one hand, I was able to wrangle this obnoxious goat. The halter fits decent, I wish there was a little more tail on the crowpiece for adjustment, but on the last hole, it does fit her. The bottom ring can be hard to get a lead attached to when she's a moving target. It looks like it will be durable enough to last a couple of years at least. I hate the pink color, but it's handy in case she manages to get it off in the field--you can find it. ... show more

I would have given this item a 5 but it will not fit a kid like it said it would. It was even to big for our Nigerian dwarf goat even though it is a small and said it would, but it fits our mini Alpine buck. I really wouldn't recommend this for a Nigerian goat or smaller. 😠

    • Great halter. Just needs little extra.

This halter is very strong and well made. The only issue I have would be that it isn't stitched on the sides. With a lead that, of course has a strong clasp on it, it pus the sides down and puts pressure on the nose/face. I even got a larger size. Then I realized what is happening. My poor goat has an ugly sore on his face where the strap rubbed. Now that I have put it all together, I'll be trying to stitch the sides so they can't slip around and get tight across the nose because a rope and clasp are hanging and pulling.. As you can see, it's a great halter, just needs little help. ... show more

These work great! So far this is the only halter that can keep my escape artist goat on a lead. I love the chin ring. My only qualm is that the medium is 'almost' too small for my large lamancha wether, but the large size I tried is way too big for my smallest lamancha wether. It's a fine balance and I wish the sizes bled more into one another, but hey. They're good halters. And no chewable plastic parts! Yay! ... show more

Fits a full grown adult Nigerian dwarf goat. It has a wide range of fittings with adjustable holes to tighten or loosen around the back of the neck. I think it would be able to fit a range of smaller Nigerian goats to larger adult size nigerians.

Pretty great little halter for safe tie out of a goat. Doesn’t choke and is nice quality with good buckles and heavy duty nylon. Fits a medium size to large goat. Not gonna fit a great big buck or a Pygmy. Worked great on my American Alpine.
