I enjoyed this base. I tested it for 15 hours, without a primer. I also used the matching powder. For reference: I use Revlon Colorstay in Mahogany, and the discontinued Queen Collection, in Warm Caramel. I also used the discontinued Maybelline Superstay in Cocoa; in the past. Nice coverage and color. Did not oxidize or turn red, on me. I got compliments on my skin that day! I like this foundation so much, that I ordered 3 more. A fine product. Do not hesitate to buy this base. You won't regret it!

I accidentally fell upon this foundation because the store I normally go to must have decided to stop carrying Queen Latifah's Covergirl make-up line. I've been using this product for almost a year now. I like it so much that this is probably a product I'll use from now on. It's high quality, it spreads evenly, and it absorbs the oil from my extremely oily/shiny face. I hate it when I have to go to store to store looking to see if they have a product that I need or want in stock. I'm so glad that I decided to shop Amazon for this product. I bet it saved me time, gas, and frustration! LOL!

My skin is oily and have been searching for the perfect foundation. Deeper skin gals know the struggle for the right foundation is real. Either the shades do not go deep enough or the undertones are off. I got this foundation in the shade Deep Golden 2 and I can tell you it is the perfect, perfect shade for my skin. Pros: -The packaging is beautiful. A glass bottle with a pump which locks in place. - It gives a natural finish like skin. No cake face here. - No flashback. I applied it on one half on my face and another famous drugstore foundation on the other half and took a flash photo with my phone. The side with Covergirl had no flashback and looked like skin. Cons: - The coverage is light. I have acne hyperpigmentation on one side of my face and it shows even after applying 2 layers. -Due to the fact that it's light coverage, I end up using it quite fast. It's been 3 weeks since I started using it and I'm a third way through the bottle. Other drugstore foundations last me 3 - 4 months. - It is not transfer proof. I use it with a matte setting spray (Nyx) but it transfers on my phone when I make calls. By the end of the day I barely have any foundation left on my face despite me making a conscious effort not to touch my face a lot. - Oil control is not the best because my forehead is still shiny at the end of the day (I use a mattifying primer and powder before foundation technique). For these reasons, I deduct one star for the lack of transfer proofness and one star for not controlling oils. Alas! My search for the perfect foundation continues. See attached pics for comparison of drugstore shades. My face is darker than my inner arm where I swatched hence the reason the swatch looks darker :-). The foundations pictured from left to right are: Covergirl Deep Golden 2, Maybelline Fit Me 362 Truffle, 368 Deep Golden, 375 Java, Revlon Colorstay 440 Mahogany and 450 Mocha. For shade reference I mix Fit Me 368 Deep Golden and 375 Java to get my perfect shade.

I got the Covergirl Matte Ambition Foundation on Prime Day even though I normally buy the Covergirl 3 n 1 Outlast Foundation. When I got it I could instantly tell the color was going to be off and it was it also tends to get more orange as the day goes on. When I put it on there were white flakes all over my face that I used my powder brush to get off. After a few days of using it I started breaking out all over my chin, cheeks and my nose (I never have break outs on my nose) the bumps on my cheeks were SO painful I ended up ordering the Covergirl 3n1 Outlast. I actually was so happy to get off work so I could get the Matte Ambition off my face! I did not wear any makeup for the next 2 days so my skin could clear up. I won’t be buying this again I threw it away as well I wouldn’t gift it to anybody either.

This has been one of my favorite powders. I can appreciate products with a wide range of color but I was glad this powder didn't have ten million confusing shades that left it hard to decide. The texture is very nice throughout the entire day. I almost think this powder improves any foundation you are wearing. I just wish there was more of it. I don't think it is gloppy or moisturizing at all, almost silky and I would call it more full coverage than sheer.
