The build quality feels just as good as the stock model. I love the color and matte look too. I tested the disk drive and eject buttons, and they work without sticking. Regarding the instruction booklet; it didn't really help me that much so I went to a video instead. I recommend anyone else trying the first time to do this too. There's a type of pressure you need to apply to make the clips pop off easier. Overall, I like it, and I would get more shells if they come out with more designs in the future.

i’ve purchased and tried out quite a few third party plates for the ps5 pro disc edition and these are by far the most solidly constructed and aesthetically pleasing out of the 6 brands i’ve tried (the obnoxiously overly bro company of brand d not included because man do they suck). these plates are identical to sony’s actual products and if you’re anything like me, that’s what you are looking for: the standard plates, but in different colour variations. that said, look no further, fellow gamer folks: if you so desire to change the outward appearance of your ps5 pro (disc edition or not), you have found the best option currently available. let me give you a brief rundown of information most commonly looked for: 1. install is simple: it took perhaps 5 minutes to remove the standard white plates and securely replace them with the black. 2. the product is not cheaply made: once the plates are in place, they do not move or hang loosely. 3. these plates not only appear to be official sony products, but because of that, they also look dang good. i’m a fan of the bold white colour that sony took with the ps5, but ive always been one to prefer either a black or grey colour on my playstation. these panels let me do both and make the process as simple as simple can be. thank you for the most excellent product. if you’re still considering a purchase, stop and buy. i stand behind these so much that if you purchase and are not pleased, if you can message me, do so: i’ll tell you why you’re wrong, lol. i won’t be able to replace or refund a broken item, though.

Looks ok definitely thinner than stock plates and extremely dissatisfied as one plate came damaged right out of the box. It won’t attach to the side the connector points are so thin. They are sending replacements right away but hope Sony releases plates for ps5 pro soon. Hope the new plate when it comes won’t be broke I think the print this bad cheap material. If the new one stays on will use for time being but as soon as Sony makes them..if they do these are going in the garbage or I’ll go back to white. I want black but would rather have quality stock plates then cheap ones on a $1,000 console. I get it like what did we expect for $35

I was pretty skeptical at first. Ut when I opened the box and saw the color and build quality of the plates I knew it was a great buy. They match the volcanic red controller extremely well. They're as sturdy as the OEM plates that come with the pro and the installation was easy and painless. They work extremely well and would definitely recommend them to anyone who's looking to put some style to their PS5.
