The price was right was not expensive. Have it on my countertop. I unplug it every once in a while but for what I use it for it’s perfect. I like to have extra fresh ice handy & easy access. The noise level is a little loud when the ice is dropping, but I can live with that. It’s put together great easy to use and does not take up a lot of room on the countertop. Absolutely great purchase. I've had this going on 2 years now and have NEVER had a single issue with this product. Although the shipping cost is darn near as much as the ice machine itself. I was spending a small fortune, buying a bag or 2 of ice every single day for work. Other than an occasional cleaning, it's never let me down. Period. The ice machine in the refrigerator went out a few years back, and this little machine makes enough ice for 5 grown adults in the house, as well as enough for me to take to work; every single day. Still on the kitchen table.

Quality and easy to use I’ve maker which definitely opens up your possibilities when camping or having people over. If you don’t have ice already or time to pick some up this thing is great to have, It isn’t incredibly fast but it doesn’t take more than an hour to get a good zip lock back full of ice. Pretty simple to use, the ice comes out tasting good. No issues with leaking or anything the construction feels quality. Pretty easy to drain and clean when done using. Overall a great price for a quality ice maker.

So far it seems to be doing its job. The ice maker in my fridge went out and this is the replacement rather than fixing the other one. I don't know if this makes 26 lbs of ice as stated in the product description in a day but it probably can. There is one thing I thought it would do but doesn't and that is keep the ice cold once it's made. The ice isn't refrigerated in any way other than its ice. The ice starts to melt and gets soft if I let the hopper basket fill up. Then I have a solid mass once it goes to the freezer. That just means to fill the hopper in the freezer, I need to stay close to this machine while I am doing that task. It makes this more time consuming than I had planned. That said, no plans to return it. This will work for us.

Let's face it. Ice is a luxury and one of those simple pleasures in life. My past two refrigerators stopped making ice. My current fridge is a Samsung and it just doesn't make ice. It always freezes up. I haven't had ice in my drinks at home in 8 years or so, thanks to my poor choice in refrigerators. Since we live in the south, we get that wonderful heat and humidity which sometimes feels like the deep depths of hell. While working outside in the yard recently, I thought about how nice it would be to have an ice cold water, sweet tea, or lemonade. The lightbulb went off and I decided to order this portable ice maker. This thing is impressive for the money. Depending on the temperature of the water you're using to make the ice, will dictate how quickly you get ice. Water temp helps. The first time I made ice, I decided to be boujee and used a refrigerated bottle of Saratoga. I mean, life is short, so why not? I poured water in to the max line, and waited. I started the whole process at 6:33 and at 6:43 I had some ice. Now, you can say 10 minutes is a long time to wait if you want to, but, more than likely you spend 10 minutes of your life doom scrolling on social media, so why not just wait for ice to be made? The speed at which the ice gets made gets quicker depending on temperature of the ice maker and the water you're using. This is good bullet shaped ice. You can make an iced coffee, have your sweet tea, or chew it if you want to. Even my judgey corgi likes this ice, if that matters to you. This thing is easy to use, too. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to operate, so, I'm happy with that. This thing also produces a lot of ice. What you don't use, melts and goes back into the reservoir, and cycled through again. This is a good quality ice maker for the price. With all of that being said, nothing makes a day better like an ice cold water when it feels like it's hotter than 2 rats doing it in a wool sock outside. Hope that helps. Enjoy your new luxury.
