I love this ice maker. Really does make ice fast, and I can have fresh ice made all day. Ice tasted great, and it was easy to understand the instruction. Doesn’t keep the ice cold but as it melts it will make more.

I had a Frigidaire branded unit that broke on me, and needed a replacement. Shopped around for a bit until I found this, purchased it, and decided to give it a go. On arrival and unboxing, I realized it was almost identical to my Frigidaire unit that I had, which is a good thing. That thing was reliable, my cat just broke it. I set it up and got it going, and sure enough, it does everything my old machine did. It sounds the same, runs the same, even has the same plug. I'm personally very pleased. Assume the stickers as a sign that I'm going to keep it. The ice is perfect and it works like a charm.

We moved to a new house and sadly there was no waterline for our fridge. Not the biggest deal, but we are really bad about remembering to empty and refill ice trays. I did some research on countertop ice makers and came across this one. It's the perfect size, doesn't make a lot of noise, and it makes enough ice in a good amount of time. The ice melts down into the water reservoir and can be reused. A common complaint I saw about this particular model was of mold growing inside the water reservoir and above the area where the ice is made. We've had our ice maker a while, and have done my best to keep it clean. The instructions do not share how to prevent mold, but I figured out that if you remove the two screws under the lifting lid above the ice, you can remove the whole top half of the ice maker to clean out everything carefully. It also recommends using the self-cleaning function (holding down the power button until all the lights start flashing) at least once a week, and draining out the water and cleaning it with mild soap regularly. I also add a capful of white vinegar and run the self-cleaning every other week, dump it out, and run the self cleaning again with fresh water and dump that out. It has helped keep any mold issues at bay, and our ice sparkling. I hope this helps anyone who is on the fence from the reviews about the mold, and I hope this helps anyone else who is looking into getting this one. As I said, it's fairly quiet, but when the ice drops, it does make a bit of noise. You get used to it pretty quick, but it does spook the cats sometimes, ha ha.

I have had this ice maker for a little over a year and am very happy with it. It makes enough for my needs (single person household) and has worked great the entire time. My one concern is with keeping the interior clean enough. There is an area back behind the rods that create the ice cubes that got VERY yucky with mold. It is an area that isn't easy to see, let alone get to. I noticed the area recently and got to work. I took out the two screws that hold the top housing and CAREFULLY lifted the lid (there are wires so was careful not to pull on them or get them wet). That gave me a little bit of a clearer look at what was going on. I then took a toothbrush and cleaned - but could only get to the area by putting the toothbrush head between the ice rods....it was a little tricky but worked. Then, I ran the auto clean feature a couple of times to be sure everything cleared. This is the only design "problem" I've found...otherwise, this unit has been great!!

Easy to clean, pretty quiet, able to make a lot of ice without having to refill water. It can be time consuming to fill up ice to store, but I just check on it every 30-45 mins to dump it. I’m able to fill up my decent sized container in the freezer in about 3-4 hours.
