Works good. Makes ice as long as it has water. I used spring water as my tap water has high calcium, so no build-up in the maker. Need to take ice out quickly as it will melt while sitting in tray.

This works just like the description says. It took me a while to figure out how to use this to the best effect. At first, I tried to use to make a batch of ice. One cycle wasn't enough, and two or three took to long to be convenient. It is best used by turning it on 20 or 30 minutes before you need the ice and just let it go. It will build up enough ice to just keep going. I believe it could keep up with 3 or 4 people drinking in a social environment. I was concerned at first that the ice would melt sitting in the hopper, but it lasts long enough for all practical purposes. When it's done, the ice just sits there and melts back to water for the next batch. This works very well for me, as I live in an apartment with a refrigerator without an icemaker. Obviously, I can't do anything about this, so this turned out to be a practical solution. I bought this one because it was he cheapest available and I see no need to spend more.

Let's face it. Ice is a luxury and one of those simple pleasures in life. My past two refrigerators stopped making ice. My current fridge is a Samsung and it just doesn't make ice. It always freezes up. I haven't had ice in my drinks at home in 8 years or so, thanks to my poor choice in refrigerators. Since we live in the south, we get that wonderful heat and humidity which sometimes feels like the deep depths of hell. While working outside in the yard recently, I thought about how nice it would be to have an ice cold water, sweet tea, or lemonade. The lightbulb went off and I decided to order this portable ice maker. This thing is impressive for the money. Depending on the temperature of the water you're using to make the ice, will dictate how quickly you get ice. Water temp helps. The first time I made ice, I decided to be boujee and used a refrigerated bottle of Saratoga. I mean, life is short, so why not? I poured water in to the max line, and waited. I started the whole process at 6:33 and at 6:43 I had some ice. Now, you can say 10 minutes is a long time to wait if you want to, but, more than likely you spend 10 minutes of your life doom scrolling on social media, so why not just wait for ice to be made? The speed at which the ice gets made gets quicker depending on temperature of the ice maker and the water you're using. This is good bullet shaped ice. You can make an iced coffee, have your sweet tea, or chew it if you want to. Even my judgey corgi likes this ice, if that matters to you. This thing is easy to use, too. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to operate, so, I'm happy with that. This thing also produces a lot of ice. What you don't use, melts and goes back into the reservoir, and cycled through again. This is a good quality ice maker for the price. With all of that being said, nothing makes a day better like an ice cold water when it feels like it's hotter than 2 rats doing it in a wool sock outside. Hope that helps. Enjoy your new luxury.

Works well and quickly. You do need to empty the basket often to keep it running because it automatically shuts off when it senses the basket is full. Much less expensive than name brands. Easy to use.

We moved to a new house and sadly there was no waterline for our fridge. Not the biggest deal, but we are really bad about remembering to empty and refill ice trays. I did some research on countertop ice makers and came across this one. It's the perfect size, doesn't make a lot of noise, and it makes enough ice in a good amount of time. The ice melts down into the water reservoir and can be reused. A common complaint I saw about this particular model was of mold growing inside the water reservoir and above the area where the ice is made. We've had our ice maker a while, and have done my best to keep it clean. The instructions do not share how to prevent mold, but I figured out that if you remove the two screws under the lifting lid above the ice, you can remove the whole top half of the ice maker to clean out everything carefully. It also recommends using the self-cleaning function (holding down the power button until all the lights start flashing) at least once a week, and draining out the water and cleaning it with mild soap regularly. I also add a capful of white vinegar and run the self-cleaning every other week, dump it out, and run the self cleaning again with fresh water and dump that out. It has helped keep any mold issues at bay, and our ice sparkling. I hope this helps anyone who is on the fence from the reviews about the mold, and I hope this helps anyone else who is looking into getting this one. As I said, it's fairly quiet, but when the ice drops, it does make a bit of noise. You get used to it pretty quick, but it does spook the cats sometimes, ha ha.

Love it! Our refrigerator ice maker can’t handle our entertaining events. Perfect for drinks and makes ice quickly. Wish the ice basket were bigger but guess the whole unit would have to be bigger. This unit looks great on our counter and doesn’t take up tons of space.
