    • Hard price to accept but it's so nice to use...
I really wanted this thing to suck so I could send it back, but, it's awesome and works great. Super sturdy, holds my Corsair K100 no problem and still has plenty of room for the mouse pad. I think even my special edition K100 with 18 G keys would easily fit. It is very well engineered and I was very surprised the cable was so well built and long enough to reach across the room. I think they should update it to maybe add on some USB C and extra more external accessible USB A ports. Since it sort of sucks to unscrew/screw the back open to add anything I just added a small USB hub for my HOTAS setup. I have a Wart Hawg HOTAS and I don't even have to power the hub I added on. Is it worth the cost? I think so, I sure couldn't find anything to compete with it and it does the job. It makes playing ESO and Star Citizen much better with a solid foundation under the controls. ... show more

Fits perfect for my setup, I don't need pads. Once this one became available I ordered right away and still happy about. USB fast charching slot is also hight speed USB, and it's really fast. Great built and components quality. I only which it came with long mouse pad to cover keyboar as well so I'll have to order it myself. The price is also high but looks premium. 5 stars ... show more

Seems to be an expensive item for something that's effectively replacing a wooden plank. (definitely looks prettier than one). That being said, I cannot imagine setup without this. We bought it for my wife to game on her PC at the living room TV. The USB 3 extension cable that it comes with is plenty durable which is a must in this environment as she has dogs walking on and around this cable frequently. The plastic is surprisingly durable and houses the inner USB hub quite well. The ONLY drawback I can think of is the back panel plates. They're secured with a number of tiny phillips head screws that make changing devices a pain. (while you probably aren't going to change devices frequently, she has had a couple instances where her controller has come unplugged from the inner hub and screw removal is problematic given that the mouse and keyboard then have to dangle below the tray while you play operation with 20 screws. If they were magnetic or you had a quick access port to the hub via the top of the tray I think it would be that much better (maybe a gen 2 idea). Definitely fits the bill and is something I can't imagine not having at this point. ... show more

    • Just what I was looking for
I have been computer gaming from my recliner for a few years now. Tried using wireless mice and keyboards, but they are just don't have the same reaction time as their wired counterparts. Because of this I have cords running across my living room providing my wife with a nice obstacle course to run while I game. Then enters the couchmaster lapboard. Only one cord crossing the room now. The others are wound snugly and out of site in the lapboard. The velcro provided makes securing the keyboard and my Azeron keypad to the board easy and makes everything stay in place. My only complaints... the cost and the fact that sometimes my Azeron keyboard and the couchmaster don't like to work together. If you are a living room recliner gamer like I am, the Couchmaster Lapboard is pretty much the only game in town. I would buy it again tomorrow if I had to. No regrets. ... show more

First of all, this lap desk includes several USB 3 ports and cable management compartments, as well as a robust cable of its own. It's much larger than any other lap desk I've seen as well, which makes it perfect for using it with a sizeable chair or couch (as advertised).     • Expensive, but worth it IF YOU NEED IT
As one said before me, this device is a niche. My particular situation is that I have a second computer that has now been retired to the TV. And when I use it, I use it from my office chair and thus need something to take place as a desk for a full-size "gaming" keyboard (in my case the cheap-ish g613) that has a bit of length, couple that with room for a mouse and surely you'll see you'll need the space. The only main cons imo is that its pretty expensive for what it is, but granted it's is VERY sturdy. which brings me to my second con is that it has some weight on it. So depending on your preferences and definition on quality, that could mean something. Some things to note since I've had it for a few months now; it holds your keyboard in place via velcro (use scissors to cut to length), which is why you don't see any guards on it. I've tested it holding the attached keyboard to board upside-down swung it a bit and it isnt trying to move. So I'd say that's a big plus for those concerned. So unless you're trying to play baseball with it, you should be fine as far as keyboard movement or sliding. ... show more
