Item is exactly as pictured. It’s like a spring that expands to the size of the sofa and tucks in at the ends of the chair. The dogs don’t mess with it or pull it off. They stay off the sofa and that was the point of the purchase.

I was skeptical about this working to keep our Bengal kitty off of our leather couch, which she was starting to mark. I thought it would work only for dogs. It has worked! Fingers crossed she is relearning her naughty behavior.

My labridoodle is well behaved, but just likes to lay on our couch. Well this works fine to keep him off new leather couch. It is relatively easy to deploy and fold back up. We keep it next to couch when folded. He is still allowed on old couch.

The Couch Defender as save my couch. I have two large and one small, and they are perfect for a sectional. The small one would fit a big boy chair. Well worth the money.
