Frame is metal and bulbs are covered by frosted glass, very nice quality. Sits flush with the ceiling and is low profile. Huge plus is that it takes normal E26 bulbs that can be replaced, unlike many modern LED fixtures that have to be tossed entirely. Only negative is the consequence of the low profile, the bulbs are very close to the glass which means the bulbs show through and the glass does not appear uniform in light. ... show more

The light is very nice and easy to install. I didn’t rate it a 5 only because it was shipped loose in a box with other items and was missing the original packaging. Because of this, the light cover was shattered inside the box upon delivery. Amazon quickly sent a replacement.

I'm not a huge fan of new integrated LED lamps. If there's a problem, you have to throw the whole fixture away. This type allows you to use standard screw-base bulbs, so you can choose brightness, color and cool stuff like wifi control with great flexibility. I needed hallway lights for my new home. I chose these because they were the correct color (gold), were reasonable in price and of a simple design. They work well in my small halls, light up as needed, and are very nice.

This fixture is beautiful and looks far more expensive than it is. Extremely good value for the money. Some people have commented on the brightness. I bought two of these, one for a hallway and one for the kitchen. It's perfectly bright for the hallway, not nearly bright enough for the kitchen. So it really depends on the space you plan to use it. Although each plug takes up to a 60-watt bulb, you can't use a regular size bulb because of the width of the space between the glass and the back (top) of the fixture. I had to buy the candelabra shaped bulbs (but with the wider base to fit the plug). 60-watts was too bright for the hall, so I used 40-watts there, but 60 watts wasn't bright enough for the kitchen. So if you have a small-ish space, this is a really excellent fixture that is really beautiful and very expensive looking. But it won't work well for a larger space unless you prefer dim lighting. ... show more
