I love how earthy but colorful this rug is. It’s perfect for a small to medium bedroom. It has stood up to two crazy dogs, me attempting to vacuum it, which you can’t, and me rolling my office chair over it. It still looks just as good as when I got it. We have just opened this rug and put it down today. I was surprised that it is made from cotton as well as jute, but the pattern, and the colors, are truly wonderful. We have the rug on the floor in our painting studio and it immediately began to draw out some of the more vibrant colors in my partner's oil paintings. It is a beautiful handmade object. The only caveat is that it is not woven completely flat; like it is 90% rug and 10% sombrero. I know that sounds pretty negative, but the colors and the originality of this piece combined with the fact that it is an all natural handmade piece at an affordable price have compelled me to write a review. ... show more

Ugh I wanted to love this rug so badly. And I do. I do love it! That's my problem. It's gorgeous and colorful and round and just so pleasing to the eyes. Where my issue lies is that I can't vacuum it. The stitching comes undone more and more as I try and clean it. When I choose not to vacuum, I'll sweep it off, but the problem there is that I cannot completely clean the rug. Another issue I'm facing is how much dirt gets underneath the rug. I have to fold the rug periodically to sweep the massive amounts of dirt underneath. I wish I could give this 5 starts because for the ascetic of it, its absolutely stunning. But the quality and difficulty to keep it clean, I cannot give it more than 3 stars :( ... show more
