I have purchased 2 sets of these now. I'm happy with both transactions. One of my 4 stools has a tight swivel and one of the legs is just slightly off too cause a wobble. Nothing you would really notice. I think they look much better than the cost. They are about 29 inches from floor to seat. The included allen wrench will put them together but i recommend a drill to attach the seat. ... show more

My 16 year old son had these assembled for me before I got home. No issues there. The chairs look like they cost more than they actually did. The swivel function is nice. The cushion is comfortable. The stools are okay, they are not as picture, if you are expecting the seats to be red, they ARE NOT they are very much in the brown scale. I'm keeping them because they still look great in my kitchen but I searched red bar stools and these came up, so I assumed they were red. Also the cushions are not comfortable yet at all. I'm hoping once they've been used a number of times it will soften and still hold up ... show more

I purchased 2 sets of these stools approximately 8 months ago. Reasonably easy to assemble and looked good when finished. However, within a short time I noticed that if you leaned back on the stool, the backrest would bend backward. I'm not that large of a person for this to happen. Upon closer inspection, it's clear there is nothing to support the backrest except two welded joints on fairly thin aluminum. Of course it was also easy to bend the backrest back to its intended position. After several instances if this, the backrest breaks away from the welds and you're left with a backless stool with sharp protrusions from where the aluminum broke away. Don't buy! ... show more

    • Inspect upon arrival....VERY flimsy packaging

First, the packaging: The flimsiest cardboard boxes I have ever seen. Very little protection for the contents. Inspect and take pics, for just in case. Second: The vast majority of the fasteners are Allen-head screws of two different lengths. A little Allen wrench is provided, but I highly recommend you buy Allen-head or Torx sockets of the appropriate size, and a battery-powered screwdriver to install those fasteners. I specifically ordered these stools because they are advertised as being made from Leather. I copied this from their title: "COSTWAY Bar Stools Set of 4, 360 Degree Swivel, 30" Seat Height Bar stools, with Leather Padded Seat.." These seats are NOT leather. They are cheap vinyl. See images. I contacted the manufacturer, and asked them for an alternate stool, MADE FROM LEATHER. Sue, from Costway, got back with me, and said that they don't have any leather stools to substitute, and offered to refund $60 on the purchase price. I don't want a reduced price, Sue. I want LEATHER SEATS! Furthermore, if I want to return them, I have to drive the boxes to FedEx. Costway will NOT arrange for a pick-up. Stay away from these stools, and this company!
