This is the 10th plant I’ve received from Costa Farms, and 1 of 2 that has had major issues. Shipped in just a nursery pot in a damaged box. The plant arrived with the nursery pot being split down the side, and soil spilling out everywhere. Can’t return or refund on Amazon because I have to ship it back but the package it arrived in is damaged. Can’t get a refund or replacement through Costa Farms because they only do that if you order direct from them. Now I’m stuck with a plant in an unusable nursery pot, and I have to go out and buy new pots for this plant to fix something that shouldn’t have happened in the first place. So happy with my purchase! My plant is a little over 2 feet so exactly as described by the seller. It's also so full! Packaging was amazing...no soil spilled and even received some extra papers with tips about plant decor. Right now the leaves are close to each other. I know they will separate themselves as they get used to watering and used to my home. All the leaves look great...none are broken. The pot has a lot of soil so be careful when opening it. I don't have a pot big enough for it and the pot it comes in isnt really pretty so I ordered a 10 inch by 10 inch plant pot from amazon as well so I can repot it in March. For now I am leaving it to just acclimate to my home. It's so pretty and my second snake plant from Costa. I needed one for my entryway and because there isn't a lot of light there this was the perfect plant. Costa Farms always provides me with great plants. I have a Zz plant that has tripled in size since I bought it from them 2 years ago. My home is filled with their trademark grey and white plant pots, haha! I love this seller! Buy their plants! :) 2 month update: My snake plant is happy in a little corner. I water it once a month because the pot is ceramic and the soil is still pretty good that it retains water for a while. Great plant and still very happy with it. arrived in a large box that must have been turned over a dozen times as the dirt was all inside the box and all over my living room. Beautiful plant only one font was tall, only one!!!!! I asked for a certain size, well this is how it works with Costa farms. The snake plant is doing well, almost up to my ceiling now. Not sure what I'm going to do when it reaches the ceiling. Pros: great packaging. Barely any soil spillage. Much of the plant looks healthy, and the size is nice. Cons: ROOT ROT. I normally let a plant acclimate a week or two before transplanting, but I decided to repot this one immediately so that I could remove the wet peaty soil and cut off the rotten parts. Lost 2 leaves right off the bat and there was a bunch of mushy stuff in the root ball. The soil they used is terrible; it retains water like crazy and this is not a plant you want sitting in wet soil. I replanted in fast draining succulent soil and I'm hoping that's enough to let this thing recover. Also, there were scale insects on a few leaves. If you see tiny white dots that you can scrape off, that's scale. There were a couple other little crawlers here and there in the soil. It was enough to prompt me to mix insecticide into the new soil, something I'd normally never do with a new plant, but I can't risk infestations with all my houseplants. So overall, this plant looks nice now and I'm hopeful I can bring it out of quarantine in a week or two, but I'm not sure that'll happen. I have been very happy with previous amazon plant purchases from smaller private sellers and will continue to buy from them, but I will not purchase from this seller again. ... show more
