Description

The Aglaonema is an easy-to-grow houseplant with bold, colorful leaves; ideal for tabletops, desks, and shelves. It adds color and texture to any space making it excellent as home decor accent or for gift giving. Water when the top couple inches of the soil are dry (about once a week) and be sure all excess water drains away. If the container does not have holes, use approximately 1 cup of water, adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Aglaonema sit in water or overly soggy soil. The height at dispatch is approximately 14 inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The The Aglaonema is a slow grower depending on its environment and is hardy in USDA Zones 10-11. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for house plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the plant, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. Be aware of third-party sellers; other companies try to imitate our quality. There are no other authorized Costa Farms sellers. Nice plant, however, arrived in damaged box laying on its side. Half the dirt was out of the pot with half the roots exposed. It did not come in the "indoor pot" pictured. It came in a flimsy, black plastic planting pot. The plant had one broken off leaf. Not the norm from Costa Farms. I changed my rating to 4 stars. It's not Costa Farms fault for the shipping damage but they may want to look into who delivers their product. Also, I found the missing pot in the bottom of the box. It was so tight I had to wrestle it to get it out. The plant is in good shape even with the damaged box. ... show more

When this plant came it was beautiful....on the outside. Once I let the plant acclimate I took off the cling wrap only to notice the roots were popping out of the pot. Oh well, I thought, I will just repot it as I love repotting plants. When I went to lift the plant out of the pot I noticed something hard against my hand. Swept a little of the moss away and saw it was a mesh pot used in hydropoincs for growing cuttings. Hmmm, that's weird, I thought. Must have been a mistake. Nope, it wasn't just one mesh pot. But 3 mesh pots in the container. One for each of the plants. I don't know about you, but I see a major problem with that. For one, the roots have grown thru the mesh pots and I will never be able to remove them without cutting the roots. Secondly, while the roots are healthy and large, cutting all of them as I will have to do to remove the mesh pots, could possibly put the plant in shock and kill it. As happy as I was when I received it and looked at its outer beauty, I am 10x's more disappointed in the undercarriage of the plant as this is the most crucial part that sustains its life. ... show more

My favorite plant in my collection 🥰. I’m pleasantly surprised how effortlessly brilliant Costa Farms is! They even stuck a bamboo in the plant to make sure the box wouldn’t get damaged. The leaves came in healthy, no pruning needed. There’s also a certificate of inspection in the plant (I checked the statute). This plant has been visually inspected for fruit flies so yay!     • The Plants were beautiful and full.....but....

About two weeks in they started dying. One was really bad, so I took it out of the pot and noticed there was a small plastic pot the plant's roots were trapped in. I cut the plant out and put it with special moss and water. It is thriving now and more beautiful than ever. The other one has the same issue but was in better shape. I reported it in a slightly larger pot and only water around the edges not to get the roots in the small pot soggy. It is thriving this way. In the spring, when it has fully settled in, I will cut it out of that little pot and repot it. My only wish is I wish the company would have told me about those little pots so I could have cared for the plants accordingly. That said the plants are awesome.
