Description

The Aglaonema is an easy-to-grow houseplant with bold, colorful leaves; ideal for tabletops, desks, and shelves. It adds color and texture to any space making it excellent as home decor accent or for gift giving. Water when the top couple inches of the soil are dry (about once a week) and be sure all excess water drains away. If the container does not have holes, use approximately 1 cup of water, adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Aglaonema sit in water or overly soggy soil. The height at dispatch is approximately 14 inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The The Aglaonema is a slow grower depending on its environment and is hardy in USDA Zones 10-11. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for house plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the plant, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. Be aware of third-party sellers; other companies try to imitate our quality. There are no other authorized Costa Farms sellers. These were so much better than expected!! Buying plants site unseen is a difficult thing to do and these were so much larger, healthier and beautiful than I ever thought they would be. Yes they needed a drink when they arrived but they were packaged wonderfully so that there was no damage to the plants once they were unboxed and unwrapped. Only slight disappointment I thought the planter they came in was more of a heavy weight clay pot painted white but it was a very thin lightweight plastic container. But that’s easily resolvable by putting them in a planter that’s prettier. Will definitely be buying more from this company/grower as they are beautiful. ... show more

It needs more light than advertised. I bought 2 one has a very cheery sunlit to Live and is having additional leaves in abundance. The other I will move tomorrow is in a half and half living space part of the day in filtered sunlight and the other half in shade I will move him somewhere tomorrow that suits him better, I love the red tinted red leaves and think it’s just a great plant. ... show more

When this plant came it was beautiful....on the outside. Once I let the plant acclimate I took off the cling wrap only to notice the roots were popping out of the pot. Oh well, I thought, I will just repot it as I love repotting plants. When I went to lift the plant out of the pot I noticed something hard against my hand. Swept a little of the moss away and saw it was a mesh pot used in hydropoincs for growing cuttings. Hmmm, that's weird, I thought. Must have been a mistake. Nope, it wasn't just one mesh pot. But 3 mesh pots in the container. One for each of the plants. I don't know about you, but I see a major problem with that. For one, the roots have grown thru the mesh pots and I will never be able to remove them without cutting the roots. Secondly, while the roots are healthy and large, cutting all of them as I will have to do to remove the mesh pots, could possibly put the plant in shock and kill it. As happy as I was when I received it and looked at its outer beauty, I am 10x's more disappointed in the undercarriage of the plant as this is the most crucial part that sustains its life. ... show more
