Description

Hand-selected grower's choice varieties by the expert growers at Costa Farms, the O2 for you collection includes the most efficient, natural air-purifying plants around. These plants are scientifically proven by NASA to be some of the very best plants for clean air. In general, place the plants in a bright spot, but not directly in sunlight. If the container does not have holes, use approximately half a cup of water, adjust as needed for your environment. The height at dispatch ranges from 10-15 inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. Each plant is potted in a lightweight, 4-inch grower’s pot; made from a 100% recyclable 5 material. To help with water drainage, these containers have holes. The plants an range from slow to quick growing and are hardy in USDA Zone 10. Give them a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for house plants. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the plant, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. Be aware of third-party sellers; other companies try to imitate our quality. There are no other authorized Costa Farms sellers. I am very happy with the plants in my order. I'm trying to create a green plant room and all I have is one big vine. I have no idea what to choose. I thought a "grab bag" might be the way to go. I was not disappointed!!! The plants were packed well and traveled without issue. It was like opening birthday presents. Each one made me more excited to see the next. All are healthy with no damage at all. Soil is nice, moist, crumbly. I am so happy with these that I wanted to post photos of each plant. They are all lovely. I will be getting more from these folks. Lovely plants. Arrived packed well and undamaged. Got 3 different plants in this order. Ordered 6 more to fill out my shelf. The decorative pots work well. They are plastic but look ceramic. I actually prefer that in case my cats decide to get rowdy and bump one off.

I ordered these plants because when I was in the interior landscaping business, Costa Farms was known as an excellent grower of interior plants, and I used many of their products. When these small plants arrived, one had several brown leaves. However, I dropped it when I took it out of the box, so I didn't want to complain, not being able to identify how much damage was already there and how much damage I did by dropping. Of course, the brown leaves were there, but my drop could have caused unseen damage. I removed the bad leaves and watered the plant and expected it to revive and do well. Another plant was totally wilted. But I watered it well, and it seemed to revive and looked good. The third plant was fine. I cared for the plants carefully, and I was one of the first 50 certified interior horticulturists in the nation, so I know how to care for indoor plants. Unfortunately, in spite of my best efforts, the two damaged plants died. I looked at the product description and saw a number for Costa Farms for a guarantee. I called that number, and the man I spoke with said Amazon was responsible for the guarantee. I explained that the Amazon website said Costa Farms was responsible and provided this number to call. He said that wasn't right and gave me a number to call at Amazon. The man who answered said Costa Farms was responsible for the guarantee and gave me a number to call. I told him I had already called that number and the person answering gave me the number I was speaking to him on. He assured me that Costa Farms was responsible, and he would remind them of that. He told me he sent a message to Costa Farms reminding them about their guarantee and promised me someone from Costa would contact me to offer replacements for the two plants that died. I waited for several weeks before writing a review to give Costa Farms time to respond. Unfortunately, they never did. This was very disappointing to me, as the good opinion I had of the nursery from my years as an interior landscaper was tarnished by this. I don't know whether their quality has deteriorated in the 25+ years since I dealt with them, whether they are better with the large plants we used in interior landscaping than the small plants in this order, or whether this was just a confusing glitch. The plants themselves are healthy and pretty but the packaging was a total mess. The box was crushed and all the soil was out of both plants and all in the bottom of the box so I have to go but more soil. I hope that they last given that they crushed. The other plant that I ordered was in way better condition and the packaging was way better also. I will order from this company again for sure but directly from the website and not from the Amazon store ... show more

**UPDATE 30 Days ** Unfortunately, 3 of the 6 plants are turning brown and producing mushrooms! I've never experienced mushrooms in a house plant before! I think the Greg App may be causing over watering of the plants. The soil is really moist, I'm going to let them dry out for a bit. I might have to get rid of the 3 plants at some point. ******END OF UPDATE***** I bought these plants for my home and work space; for the purpose of better air quality. I received these beautiful plants yesterday and poured a little water on them before even taking them out of the brown paper and plastic wrap. I did that since I wasn't sure when I would plant them. Today I took them out of the packaging. I was a little concerned what I would find since some reviews stated they received dead or yellow leaves on their plants. I did not find one dead leaf or yellowing of any kind. They actually are lovely and healthy. I just need to figure out how to take care of them. I downloaded the plant app that came with the plants. You get a 3-month subscription so I'll work with that until I feel like I don't need it anymore. I re-potted them over the weekend. I'll try to write a review in a few months with pictures to show the progress of the plants. Hopefully they'll survive! ... show more

They said they will give you any variety of plants and I was really looking forward to air purifying plants that would help with moisture like the snake plant and the peace lily on the photo and what I got was a plant that actually can create moisture which is the exact opposite of what i need. I also needed to plant with direct sunlight for one like the snake plant but both of the ones I received could not be in direct sunlight they so they do not give you a fair set. I am unhappy with the plans that I got I really wanted something similar to the Peace Lily and snake plant like the photo. It's better just to buy the direct plant if you have needs like I did because I didn't realize all the other plans had different qualities and now I'm stuck with the plant that's useless for me and I don't want it in a waste of money. ... show more
