Description

Assorted Foliage features assorted, green foliage. These houseplants are great for small spaces. They do well in spaces that have bright, indirect sunlight. Place live plants in a spot that receives bright light. Water plants about once a week with approximately 1/2 cup and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Assorted Foliage sit in water or overly soggy soil. The height at dispatch is approximately 8-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The live plants arrive in 4-inch décor pots. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes. The live house plants are moderate growers. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for potted plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. This plant is considered hardy in USDA Zone 9-11.Be aware of third-party sellers; other companies try to imitate our quality. There are no other authorized Costa Farms sellers. **UPDATE 30 Days ** Unfortunately, 3 of the 6 plants are turning brown and producing mushrooms! I've never experienced mushrooms in a house plant before! I think the Greg App may be causing over watering of the plants. The soil is really moist, I'm going to let them dry out for a bit. I might have to get rid of the 3 plants at some point. ******END OF UPDATE***** I bought these plants for my home and work space; for the purpose of better air quality. I received these beautiful plants yesterday and poured a little water on them before even taking them out of the brown paper and plastic wrap. I did that since I wasn't sure when I would plant them. Today I took them out of the packaging. I was a little concerned what I would find since some reviews stated they received dead or yellow leaves on their plants. I did not find one dead leaf or yellowing of any kind. They actually are lovely and healthy. I just need to figure out how to take care of them. I downloaded the plant app that came with the plants. You get a 3-month subscription so I'll work with that until I feel like I don't need it anymore. I re-potted them over the weekend. I'll try to write a review in a few months with pictures to show the progress of the plants. Hopefully they'll survive! ... show more

I ordered these plants because when I was in the interior landscaping business, Costa Farms was known as an excellent grower of interior plants, and I used many of their products. When these small plants arrived, one had several brown leaves. However, I dropped it when I took it out of the box, so I didn't want to complain, not being able to identify how much damage was already there and how much damage I did by dropping. Of course, the brown leaves were there, but my drop could have caused unseen damage. I removed the bad leaves and watered the plant and expected it to revive and do well. Another plant was totally wilted. But I watered it well, and it seemed to revive and looked good. The third plant was fine. I cared for the plants carefully, and I was one of the first 50 certified interior horticulturists in the nation, so I know how to care for indoor plants. Unfortunately, in spite of my best efforts, the two damaged plants died. I looked at the product description and saw a number for Costa Farms for a guarantee. I called that number, and the man I spoke with said Amazon was responsible for the guarantee. I explained that the Amazon website said Costa Farms was responsible and provided this number to call. He said that wasn't right and gave me a number to call at Amazon. The man who answered said Costa Farms was responsible for the guarantee and gave me a number to call. I told him I had already called that number and the person answering gave me the number I was speaking to him on. He assured me that Costa Farms was responsible, and he would remind them of that. He told me he sent a message to Costa Farms reminding them about their guarantee and promised me someone from Costa would contact me to offer replacements for the two plants that died. I waited for several weeks before writing a review to give Costa Farms time to respond. Unfortunately, they never did. This was very disappointing to me, as the good opinion I had of the nursery from my years as an interior landscaper was tarnished by this. I don't know whether their quality has deteriorated in the 25+ years since I dealt with them, whether they are better with the large plants we used in interior landscaping than the small plants in this order, or whether this was just a confusing glitch. These arrived in great shape. I removed them from the black plastic inner pot. I added some potting soil and re-potted them in the white pots they came with. It was easy and didn't require much time or effort. Note: The white pots are not ceramic but aren't bad for plastic "ceramic look" pots. I wish we could choose the plants by the light level each plant requires. One requires low light. One is bright to medium light. One is bright light. This however; was not a deal breaker for me but, just something to consider when purchasing the three pack of these plants. I did order a specific taller plant from the same company (a money tree) from a local super big chain, you know the one where everyone wears pj's to shop. (It starts with a W and ends with allmart.) I have included a photo of that plant also because it is from the same company and is sold on here, too. I also repotted it in a ceramic pot I purchased from there. The size of these plants are great for what I was looking for. I am very pleased with these plants. They are some of the nicer and healthier plants I have ordered. I expect them to grow and thrive. Plants arrived in good packaging, no bugs, but lots of loose dirt: 2x ferns, 2x dracaena, 1x croton, 1x fittonia. The two ferns are probably going to die, they weren't super happy upon arrival with a lot of lost leaves and feeling a bit crispy. Not pleased to lose a third of my plants. The two dracaena are in decent shape with a few lost leaves at the bottoms so I've got fingers crossed on them. Good roots. The croton and fittonia both look wonderful, also with great roots. So as an overall, I'm not going to fuss and complain about my order but neither would I order again. I'm going to run with these plants and see which survive given some tlc. If I remember, I'll try to update this review in a few months to detail the survival rate. ... show more

I ordered, and received 2 plants. Not the plants I ordered, but 2 seemingly healthy looking plants. One lasted about 2 weeks then withered and died. I watered and provided sun exposure as prescribed. The other one is dropping leaves and not looking very good. For the price I would have thought they should last longer than a few weeks. ... show more
