Description

Assorted Foliage features assorted, green foliage. These houseplants are great for small spaces. They do well in spaces that have bright, indirect sunlight. Place live plants in a spot that receives bright light. Water plants about once a week with approximately 1/2 cup and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Assorted Foliage sit in water or overly soggy soil. The height at dispatch is approximately 8-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The live plants arrive in 4-inch décor pots. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes. The live house plants are moderate growers. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for potted plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. This plant is considered hardy in USDA Zone 9-11. Plants are living things; each one is slightly different, so the plant you receive may vary from the photo. Very happy with the packaging. Southern California was around 95 degrees on day of arrival and I was worried they would die along the way, but no, they arrived a bit humid, but still looked nice. Tiny plants, HUGE joy. I received three plants; Pearls and jade, Rosy maidenhair and Gold dust. Very happy with the selection, love the Gold dust. I was so excited and happy with my first order. So much so that I made 2 more orders. In total I ordered 9 live plants (3 of those were succulents). The second order was delivered to the wrong home due to an incorrect address on the shipping label. Keep in mind that my address on Amazon is correct. The issue was that Costa Farms kept printing the wrong address on my package labels. Amazon was great about replacing those. I also reached out to Costa Farms to let them know about the issue and they assured me it would not happen again. Well, the 3rd order was also delivered to the wrong address. I reached out to Costa Farms again and they were not much help. They just kept telling me the address was right in their system and failed to understand that it was a shipping label printing issue. At this point I was fed up and requested a refund which Amazon granted. Now, I am dealing with a gnat issue on all plants I did receive from Costa Farms. They came infested with gnats! It’s difficult to get rid of them because they reproduce so fast. I’ve tried everything except repotting them because I didn’t want them to die. As you can see they are all over the sticky trap. On arrival, all plants looked healthy and pretty. The Fittonia plant has very pretty stripe pattern on the leaves, but has a very strong smell that I do not like. The smell does not bother my father. The Fittonia is very sensitive to under watering, and was withered and looked almost dead, lost many leaves but recovered well after watering it again (plant on far right in photo). The Bash on Fire Croton is even more sensitive! The Croton is sensitive to both under watering and over watering. In the photos, it’s the first one on the left, and the current problem was over watering, and even though the soil has dried out a bit and has good drainage now, it is so withered that I do not know if it will survive. The other two plants are very hardy and survived both under watering and overwatering watering. Plus, the tall plant came with 2 bulbs (3rd from the left in the first photo). The pots the plants arrived in were very small. As seen in the photo, I have repotted them. The pots seen in my photos did not come with the plants, nor did all that soil. Overall, I am happy with the purchase, and if the Croton dies, I will repot one of the tall plant bulbs in its pot. The two plants seen in the middle of the first photo, are very hardy; both survived both over watering and under watering.
