I went fishing off the North Carolina coast and the boat owner/guide had this exact sunglass strap. I liked it because it looked lightweight and barely noticeable. Those of us that are boat owners know if you invest in nice sunglasses and want to keep them out of the water you have to have a strap. I know people use the floating ones but if you don’t lose your glasses in the first place when you bend over the side of your boat then they don’t need to float! Much nicer looking if you want to do the granny thing ( I am a granny so I can say that) when you walk in the store and let your sunglasses hang around your neck this strap looks high tech. ... show more

    • No more losing expensive glasses

I used to buy a new pair of expensive glasses every year. It wasn't by choice. Almost every year at the beach I would lose them to a rogue wave. One time I lost a pair leaning over the side of a boat. When I bought my first pair of Costas I vowed never to lose them again for a dumb reason. I started with another brand of retainers that was bulky and uncomfortable. Then I saw these and thought I would give it a try. Its now several years later and I still have those same pair of Costas. I love these little retainers. This is about the third time I've purchased these. The little rubber pieces that fit over the glasses are the only real point of failure on this product. After years of sun those little rubber pieces will always eventually succumb to the elements. I replace them about every two years. It's not a big deal since they are so affordable. ... show more
